Grace weaves the pain and reality of the late Regency & Victorian eras into all her works, but the history in this book is especially moving. Many unexpected twists, lots of love, and happy tears. A must listen!

Another brilliant Grace Callaway story that will capture you right from the start!! I love the psychological depth of Fiona. Many of the characters we’ve come to love reappear, adding layers to this magical world Grace has created. Mystery, steam, wit, energy, and passion fill the pages.

One of the best books I’ve ever read: Ian and his family will break your heart as you fall in love with them. No one writes like Jennifer Ashley; she is an extraordinary wordsmith who crafts luscious characters & stories you won’t soon forget.
Beautifully written, exquisitely performed, this is a masterpiece. Bravo!!

There aren’t words to describe how special these characters are, how loved they are. Jennifer Ashley is extraordinarily talented and this is a charming, heartwarming story that left me in happy tears, absolutely enchanted. The Mackenzies are priceless.

I loved this book! The characters are delightful, funny, real. One of the things I love about Ms Bennett’s writing is that there are always many unexpected twists & turns. Even when common literary elements appear—such as the return of a former lover—she always adds something different so things transpire in unique ways. These are not stereotypical characters and that is very refreshing! I laughed out loud many times and wept throughout.

The narrator still mispronounces many words (parents’, claret, on dit), but most of the time it’s a one-off.

Grace Callaway is an exceptional writer, creating memorable characters & captivating stories. I don’t think it’s possible to read her work and not fall in love! I love Marcus & Penny—their chemistry is utterly delicious, their story unexpected, and their characters full of depth and heartbreakingly believable. As with all her books, this story is charming, funny, and hot as blazes! More, Ms Callaway, please!!

All of Grace Callaway’s work is excellent, and this book was no exception. Such engaging & endearing characters—I love “Fredward”!!!—can’t wait to see them again as the series continues. Fabulously hot heroes. Perfect narration.

A little thing...

...but it’s really annoying to hear so many mispronunciations of common words like Covent Garden and ton. Though the narrator is good in other areas, accents are not her strength—the French modiste & the Scottish doctor were amusingly bad.
