Too theoretical
Revisado: 04-29-24
When someone claims that a technique is powerful, I can’t just take their word for it- I need examples. There isn’t a single example that illustrates what she is talking about. This book bored me and I got nothing from it. There are much better books on the subject.

Nothing you couldn't figure out yourself

Nothing you couldn't figure out yourself
Revisado: 06-21-18
This is too basic. I kept waiting for her to tell me something that wasn't obvious, but she never got there. I would have loved to hear about the physiology that goes along with fasting compared to other diets, for example. Apparently, there are HUGE changes our bodies undergo when we fast that would strengthen the case for fasting. Basically, here is her message:
Here are the four different types of fasting (two are practically the same) - A, B, C, and D. Which one you choose is up to you. If you exercise, be careful about fasting. If you feel faint, stop it. If you are not losing weight, or gaining, you are probably eating too many calories when you are not fasting. Coffee or tea might help with hunger while you are fasting. Fast as long as you like.
There, now you don't have to buy the book. You're welcome.

Historia
On Sarah A. Chrisman's 29th birthday, her husband, Gabriel, presented her with a corset. The material and the design were breathtakingly beautiful, but her mind immediately filled with unwelcome views. Although she had been in love with the Victorian era all her life, she had specifically asked her husband not to buy her a corset - ever. She'd heard how corsets affected the female body and what they represented, and she wanted none of it.

Lovely story - not my thing
Revisado: 06-17-18
This was a unique perspective and an educational journey into the Victorian era and the fashion that defined it. I learned a lot and I loved the way the book was written! I bought the book because I was curious about corsets and to learn about the author’s experience with them. The rest was a nice story, but if her accounts on the corset was not included, I would have returned it. It served its purpose and more. Although I am not interested in Victorian fashion, I did find myself cheering for the author in times when she overcame ignorance and put people in their place for their rude comments. She sounds graceful, strong, sophisticated, and elegant. A woman in every sense of the word.

Historia
A man's mental conversations attracts his life. As long as there is no change in his inner talking, the personal history of the man remains the same. To attempt to change the world before we change our inner talking is to struggle against the very nature of things. Man can go round and round in the same circle of disappointments and misfortunes, not seeing them as caused by his own negative inner talking, but as caused by others.

Don't waste your money on this one.

Neville has so many great books and lectures. This one is short and repeats ideas found in other books, but the narrator sounds like a computer. Very difficult to listen to. Get this information from his lectures on YouTube, or any of his other books.
