Historia
Thomas and Tasmin, twin siblings hired to oversee a wedding feast in Cana, worry when the host runs out of wine...until a guest tells Tasmin to have the servants fill the pitchers by the gate with water from the cistern. Reluctantly, she obeys and is amazed when rainwater turns into the finest wine ever tasted in Cana. When Thomas impulsively decides to follow the teacher from Nazareth, he and Tasmin argue - since the twins have been together since the womb, Tasmin can't accept losing her brother to some magician-prophet.

Nice introduction to biblical narrative
Revisado: 12-07-21
The author has written many books and has vast knowledge and understanding of biblical passage and their possible meanings.
i think i was slightly dissapointed with the way she tried to link the characters to every possible encounters, didn't seem realistic even for that time (although nothing is impossible to God).
Nonetheless, I was expecting another layer of depths to the understanding of the scriptures and no simplistic explanation, anyways i was jist slightly dissapointed, but that's on me having a certain degree of expectations. i alos felt the author perhaps added too many layers of westernized ways that might not have been true for that time frame.
That said the book overall was a good read/listen and the narrators vouces where pleasant and made the story believable by switchibg from female yo male.
It was a good biblical story.

Will wait to get book 3
Revisado: 04-27-19
The author emphasizes true biblical perspective in his books, I read/listen with that in mind. and I am still uneasy of the theology, especially after listening to book 2. I am not certain His interpretation of Revelation/Apocalypse is accurate even from a symbolic perspective.
Requires doing some personal research to see where the author may be taking extreme liberties.
If you are simply looking to be entertained and are not a believer, this is a great fictional book. Granted, some parts could have been left out (repeating/re-explaining characters circumstances), but it was understandable why the author chose to do that. It provided a bit of background for those that did not read the first book in the series, or did not fully remember.
However, it was a bit disgruntling for me. Mostly because, I just finished the first book and had no desire to re-listen to it.

I do not completely agree with the theology. However, story line is pretty good. Enjoy

Ok Read
Revisado: 02-23-19
it was an ok read. A bit much on the build up, but somewhat suspenseful. For a biblical history perspective, it didn't line up with quite a few things. but good fictional book that should not be correlated with the bible, though some biblical events are mentioned.

Not sure what i was expecting but it was certainly a bit more than this. the story. Not sure if this is just the first of many books, and hope the others (if any) are a bit more engaging.
