Historia
Meet Ove. He's a curmudgeon - the kind of man who points at people he dislikes as if they were burglars caught outside his bedroom window. He has staunch principles, strict routines, and a short fuse. People call him "the bitter neighbor from hell". But behind the cranky exterior there is a story and a sadness.

Worst ever
Revisado: 08-12-16
What disappointed you about A Man Called Ove?
I have tried and tried to finish this book, and I've got 6+ hours left. I just can't do it. The story is a real downer. It's VERY depressing. I keep thinking it will get better, and it hasn't. I purchased it after reading reviews. Guess I'm missing something. Ugh! And it cost $34+ dollars and is not eligible for refund. I've ordered many audible books and have only returned one.
What was most disappointing about Fredrik Backman’s story?
Depressing, depressing, depressing.
How did the narrator detract from the book?
Overacting.
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
Disappointment.

Historia
Marie-Laure lives with her father in Paris near the Museum of Natural History, where he works as the master of its thousands of locks. When she is six, Marie-Laure goes blind and her father builds a perfect miniature of their neighborhood so she can memorize it by touch and navigate her way home. When she is 12, the Nazis occupy Paris and father and daughter flee to the walled citadel of Saint-Malo, where Marie-Laure’s reclusive great-uncle lives in a tall house by the sea. With them they carry what might be the museum’s most valuable and dangerous jewel.

I am so glad I decided to read this book. Everything about it was good. The story took me totally away while I was on the treadmill at the gym. Going to that other world was very satisfying.

Historia
The debut psychological thriller that will forever change the way you look at other people's lives. Every day the same. Rachel takes the same commuter train every morning and night. Every day she rattles down the track, flashes past a stretch of cozy suburban homes, and stops at the signal that allows her to daily watch the same couple breakfasting on their deck. She’s even started to feel like she knows them. Jess and Jason, she calls them. Their life - as she sees it - is perfect. Not unlike the life she recently lost.

This book was was full of interesting, well developed characters, had an unpredictable story line, and was read aloud more exceptionally than most audiobooks I have purchased.

Historia
This Dark Road to Mercy is a tale of love and atonement, blood and vengeance, a story that involves two young sisters, a wayward father, and an enemy determined to see him pay for his sins. When their mother dies unexpectedly, twelve-year-old Easter Quillby and her six-year-old sister, Ruby, are shuffled into the foster care system in Gastonia, North Carolina, a little town not far from the Appalachian Mountains. But just as they settle into their new life, their errant father, Wade, an ex-minor-league baseball player whom they haven't seen in years, suddenly reappears and steals them away in the middle of the night.
