Historia
When Emilia explores the impressive castle, she finds a dead man in one of the turrets. The snowstorm hits and the local police can’t reach the castle until it lets up. With no one able to leave, the family insists they carry on with the wedding, which makes Emilia's job as the coroner a bit easier—the suspects are in one place—and complicated because the killer has Emilia in his sights. The fact that no one claims to know the victim isn't helping. It’s up to Emilia to uncover the mystery of who the victim is so the killer doesn’t get away Scot free.

Historia
As you'll discover in his incomparable memoir, inventor, mechanic, TV presenter and walking tall as the definition of the British eccentric, Edd China sees things differently. An unstoppable enthusiast from an early age, Edd had 35 ongoing car projects while he was at university, not counting the double-decker bus he was living in. Now he's a man with not only a runaround sofa, but also a road-legal office, shed, bed and bathroom.

It's a view into one of the most inspired minds in the automotive industry. I loved him on the show, but didn't realize the crazy history behind his persona.

Historia
Ice Ghosts weaves together the epic story of the Lost Franklin Expedition of 1845 - whose two ships and crew of 129 were lost to the Arctic ice - with the modern tale of the scientists, divers, and local Inuit behind the incredible discovery of the flagship's wreck in 2014. Paul Watson, a Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist who was on the icebreaker that led the discovery expedition, tells a fast-paced historical adventure story: Sir John Franklin and the crew of the HMS Erebus and Terror setting off in search of the fabled Northwest Passage.

Great story of generations of explorers
Revisado: 03-20-21
Overall I enjoyed this audio book. It was well researched and well read. There were a few parts that jumped around with back stories, but they fit where the author put them even if they did get a bit confusing at times. The only complaint I have is that in the very end the author pushes global warming heavily. It politicized what had been a great work.

Historia
In the winter of 1952, New England was battered by the most brutal nor’easter in years. As the weather wreaked havoc on land, the freezing Atlantic became a wind-whipped zone of peril, setting the stage for one of the most heroic rescue stories ever lived. On February 18, while the storm raged, two oil tankers, the Pendleton and the Fort Mercer, were in the same horrifying predicament. Built with “dirty steel,” and not prepared to withstand such ferocious seas, both tankers split in two, leaving the dozens of men on board utterly at the Atlantic’s mercy.

A little jumpy at times, but a good story
Revisado: 03-14-21
The story is good, but jumps around too much at times giving backstories and tangential story lines. I prefer to have history in one section, then get into the main story and let it flow in a logical order.

Historia
Finding and identifying a pirate ship is the hardest thing to do under the sea. But two men—John Chatterton and John Mattera—are willing to risk everything to find the Golden Fleece, the ship of the infamous pirate Joseph Bannister. At large during the Golden Age of Piracy in the seventeenth century, Bannister should have been immortalized in the lore of the sea—his exploits more notorious than Blackbeard’s, more daring than Kidd’s. But his story, and his ship, have been lost to time.

Great story read by a talented actor

This is a great story that will take you through a wild ride of dreams lost and found, raised and crushed. You may know how it'll end, but the journey is the adventure.

Historia
Members of the military’s special operations branches share a closely guarded secret: They love their jobs. They relish the opportunity to fight. They are thankful for it, even, and hopeful that maybe they’ll get to kill a bunch of bad guys while they’re at it. You don’t necessarily need to thank them for their service - the pleasure is all theirs. In this hilarious and personal memoir, listeners ride shotgun alongside former Army Ranger and private military contractor and current social media phenomenon Mat Best, into the action and its aftermath, both abroad and at home.

Exactly what you would expect from Mat Best
Revisado: 08-26-19
If you follow his YouTube channel, his Facebook, or watched Range 15 (I highly suggest it) you're getting exactly what you would expect. Mat doesn't pull any punches, shovels out the laughs, and keeps the operational tempo going the entire book. I'm glad he's the one to read it, as I think he's the only one who could have done it justice. Worth the listen, and the read.
