Historia
Razer Station is one of the most notorious stations in the galaxy. Criminals, con artists, freaks, rebels, junkies, and smugglers inhabit the space station that floats at the outer edge of civilization. It's Roak's kind of place. But, Roak isn't on Razer for a little R&R; he's there on a job. For Roak, it should be an easy job- track down an old tech that has been targeted by several corporations and deliver the tech to the corporations. Except Razer Station is never that accommodating and Roak's easy job quickly turns into a nightmare battle for survival and a race across the station before it all goes up in flames.

Lots of action
Revisado: 01-16-23
This is an action packed story with lots of bloody fights, great characters and an interesting storyline. The narrator really brings out the personalities of the characters, as well as the tension, sarcasm and humour in the story. The individual voices he uses for the reoccurring charters are consistent and recognizable from book to book. I love the banter and relationship between Roak and Hessa, but the two Magulaws (not sure of the spelling) were my favourite in this story.

Entertaining story
Revisado: 12-30-22
This audiobook is the story of life after an EMP attack on the USA. A preper and his wife helps the main character and his wife escape the city to their rural cabin. All is well until the convicts take over the prison and invade the surrounding area. The narrator does an good job of giving the characters their individual voices and keeps the story moving forward. There are no real surprises or twists in this story but it has likeable main characters and still manages to entertain.

Historia
During a Christmas Eve wedding at the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, North Carolina, Ellen and her friends are visited by multiple ghosts. The spirits have come to tell their stories to right the wrongs that history has done to their memories. Each of them died in Asheville with their voices stifled. One spirit is particularly adamant and threatening, despite her small size, and her mood fluctuates like the mountain winds surrounding the great estate. She claims to be the ghost of Zelda Fitzgerald, and she wants her story told, even if she has to kill to make it happen.

Mystery story with a ghostly twist
Revisado: 10-10-22
I really enjoyed this eighth audiobook in the Mystery House series and the three ladies never fail to entertain. This story centers around the Christmas Eve wedding of Ellen’s son, Lane, at the Grove Park Inn and Biltmore estate. An estate that is haunted by more than one spirit, but when a seemingly vicious ghost is out to do harm, Tanya, Sue, and Ellen need to solve the mystery and help the ghost pass on before the wedding is ruined and people are hurt. The narrator did a great job of brining out the character of the ladies and showed the humour and tension in the story well. I love how the author and narrator do a great job of portraying the age of the women, it is nice to see a series that does not have young, fit, perfectly sculpted people as its main characters.
This is an easy to listen to, enjoyable, humorous, mystery story with a ghostly twist. It has wonderful, funny characters and the narrator fits the book perfectly.

Entertaining and has great narration
Revisado: 08-06-22
This is an action, adventure story with some supernatural overtures. A Russian submarine that has an unknown deadly weapon on board goes missing in the Arctic. Navy SEAL Dane Maddock and his friend Bones lead a special forces team to try to retrieve the weapon before the Soviets can arrive but they encounter some unusual deadly dangers. Fast moving story with some humour, a deadly secret, ice age animals and lots of action, but there are also some unrealistic storylines, such surviving unscathed in the Arctic when you are soaking wet. The narration of the book was great, the characters had individual voices and he brought out the humour well. This is still an entertaining story and I liked the main characters but it lacked some of the thriller aspect that is usual in this series.

I’m fully bound to Caius, and I don’t regret it. I carry more than his blood within me, and I don’t regret that either. Although we found safety, we can’t hide because souls aren't the only thing at stake anymore, and time is running out as we race toward the dagger and whatever future comes after. The veils themselves are weakening. Everyone knows my secret. Old wounds are forcing me to stop and face them. And now, I have more to fight for than the lost. I’ve never had so much lose.

Brilliant ending to the trilogy
Revisado: 08-06-22
This is an excellent ending to a truly captivating series. This final book grabs your attention from the start and keeps you listening right to the end. The world building is excellent and I love how the characters continually evolve. The narrators did a great job of bringing the characters to life and making you feel all the emotions and tension in the story. This book has lots of twists, adventure, suspense, action, love and an ending that I did not predict. The whole trilogy is well worth listening to.

Historia
For years, SauraCorps has kept its existence confidential while touting themselves as a run-of-the-mill dinosaur museum. For two Utah teens, Kamren and Vivienne, a care-free night to themselves quickly turns into a daunting trek through an exotic, unfamiliar time. Not only do they stumble upon SauraCorps’ nefarious agenda, they also encounter major discrepancies concerning the past that would rewrite history books as we know them.

Who doesn't love a Dino book!
Revisado: 04-25-22
I really enjoyed this YA time travel story that fans of Jurassic Park will love. Teenagers Viv & Kam want to see the dinosaur museum at night but they end up getting thrown through a dimensional rift by an unscrupulous business man and end up in a time when dinosaurs roamed the earth. This story is a great mix of time travel, adventure, shady people, loyalty, action and a hint of romance. I loved the authors take on the nature of dinosaurs and the characteristics he gave them came through well in both the writing and the narration. The narrator did a good job of giving individual voices to all the characters and bringing out the humour, tension and teen angst in the story. I enjoyed how the characters had dimension and that they developed as the story progressed. This book is a well written, enjoyable read.

Entertaining modernization of an ancient myth
Revisado: 04-24-22
When an ex-Navy Seal/Oceanographer’s adult daughter gets swallowed by a massive sea creature while diving with her dad, you just know that he is going to be out for revenge. Add in an old lover and an unscrupulous billionaire with a taste for hunting and you have found this modernisation of an ancient myth. The narration of the audiobook is great, Kafer brings the characters and story to life. He instills tension and emotions in all the right places and gave the characters individual voices. Even though this story has a sea monster in it, it is not really a horror story but it is entertaining and has lots of action, a touch of romance, plot twists, some biblical undertones and a 28-foot shark called Laurel that acts as a yacht's guard-dog.

A mammoth, flash frozen in solid ice 10,000 years ago is brought to the surface by a team of scientists. An act of sabotage frees the giant from its icy tomb and reveals the secret held inside: the body of an ancient woman, cloaked in furs, slides out of the mammoth's belly. But it is not the woman that holds the team's attention - it is the object she is clutching: a device created by an advanced civilization.

Sci-fi story set in the Arctic
Revisado: 04-24-22
This sci-fi story starts out well and the concept of alien races was interesting but it was a bit too implausible at times for my liking. It wasn’t the premise of the story but rather the little things, like being wet and half clothed in arctic condition and not only surviving but not even seeming to feel the cold. This story has lots of fast paced action, archeological finds, a huge bear and waring aliens for the team to contend with. The narrator does a good job of driving the story forward and makes it easy to distinguish the characters. It was an imaginative premise that had potential but the improbable feats and the somewhat uninspiring protagonist detracted somewhat from overall story for me.

Entertaining sci-fi tech thriller
Revisado: 04-24-22
I enjoyed listening to this sci-fi tech thriller that reveals how the Chess Team was originally formed. I liked how the authors made the military aspect of this story feel realistic, though it was a little hard to follow at times as the call signs for the characters changed as the new team was formed. It is an action packed sci-fi story with battles, camaraderie, treachery, losses, mutated humans and world ending threats. The narrator did a good job of moving the story forward and giving the characters individual voices (which helped id the characters when the call signs changed). I liked how the authors gave the science fiction portions somewhat of a plausible explanations and included bits of realistic history such as the 600 year old Voynich Manuscript, that has actually stumped cryptologists for years. This is an entertaining story that fans of the Chess Team will love.

This is another enjoyable, clean story in the Annie Logan series. This time our intrepid detective is trying to find a female caller to 911, but the call is interrupted and who she is or what her location is are unknown. An entertaining murder mystery that has a few twists and turns, likable characters and is a enjoyable, quick read.
