Historia
Forty years ago Israeli psychologists Daniel Kahneman and Amos Tversky wrote a series of breathtakingly original studies undoing our assumptions about the decision-making process. Their papers showed the ways in which the human mind erred systematically when forced to make judgments about uncertain situations. Their work created the field of behavioral economics, revolutionized Big Data studies, advanced evidence-based medicine, led to a new approach to government regulation, and made Michael Lewis' work possible.

Good content; it's a weird mix
Revisado: 04-23-17
it's not a straightforward non-fiction book that teaches you about decision-making but rather a biography of these two psychologists that shared a friendship and discovered decision-making principles along the way. it's powerful yet lengthy; not an efficient way to learn psychology but a good read if you're looking for 90% story skit psychologists and 10% self-development.

Historia
For decades we've been told that positive thinking is the key to a happy, rich life. "F*ck positivity," Mark Manson says. "Let's be honest, shit is f*cked, and we have to live with it." In his wildly popular Internet blog, Manson doesn't sugarcoat or equivocate. He tells it like it is - a dose of raw, refreshing, honest truth that is sorely lacking today. The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck is his antidote to the coddling, let's-all-feel-good mind-set that has infected modern society and spoiled a generation, rewarding them with gold medals just for showing up.

brilliant

A great series of insights from years of thinking. it's a bit of a modernized version of Buddhist philosophy.

What insight do you think you’ll apply from Transforming Burnout?
I used all the author's insights and was successful in dealing with and eliminating the burnout and its attached depression. It also gave me tools for the future to re-frame my attitude.

had to stop after 20 minutes. unfunny.

Lame; stilted delivery and I didn't laugh a single time. the techniques seem to be written by someone trying hard to be funny but totally missing the goal posts.
