Historia
Audie Award, Humor, 2016. In Furiously Happy, number-one New York Times best-selling author Jenny Lawson explores her lifelong battle with mental illness. A hysterical, ridiculous book about crippling depression and anxiety? That sounds like a terrible idea. But terrible ideas are what Jenny does best.

I wish I could hang out an hour with her (if either of us could endure it)
Revisado: 12-09-17
Thanks and kudos to this brilliantly smart and funny author. It’s rare that one person can make me laugh so many times in succession, but Jenny Lawson does it again snd again with her rapid-fire crazed wit. So glad she decided to narrate her own book.
I always have secretly known I was “crazy” and regret that I’ve spent so many years (I’m 62 now) and so much time and energy trying to hide it from the public at large. What a waste that’s been. A few times when people comment that I’m fun, smart, friendly, or compassionate, I’ve commented under my breath “I’m also half nuts!” They laugh and that’s that. It’s amazing how much relatable material is in this book and how many of us out here attest to every awkward or sad situation. I’m not a good reviewer so I’ll stop here. I’m telling everybody about this book and its amazing author.

Historia
Throw Out Fifty Things is truly an eye-opener. According to Blanke, our lives are so filled with junk from the past—from dried up tubes of crazy glue to old grudges—that's it's a wonder we can get up in the morning, never mind go to work, care for our children and parents, and just put one foot in front of the other. Blanke wants to start a movement of people across America throwing out 50 things (magazines count as one!) that will help liberate us from the stuff—both physical and mental—that clutters our lives.

This approach really was helpful to me beyond what I expected
Revisado: 12-10-15
The author's approach ended up being more helpful than I had originally anticipated. I knew that decluttering and tidying up would be helpful for me as a person and for my psyche (you know "As without, so within; as above, so below", or however that saying goes). But, you must give this one a listen because it is an OVERALL help more than merely a decluttering manual.
Please forgive me I am not much of a book reviewer. And be sure to listen to the sample audio to see if you can stand her voice. I found it OK although I was a tad distracted by her "homespun" way of speaking. I found the author to be very likable.
