Historia
In the endless forests of the Wild, humanity scratches a living by the side of the great Godroads, paths of crystal that provide safe passage and hold back the infernal tide. Creatures lurk within the trees, watching, and plucking those who stray too far from safety. In crystal castles held aloft on magical currents, seven timeless royal families reign, protecting humanity from the spread of the Wild and its demons. Born and reborn into flawless bodies, the Deathless are as immortal as the precious stones from which they take their names. For generations a fragile balance has held.

Not my thing but not bad for what it is
Revisado: 10-26-20
These is more on the high fantasy side, thing are the way they are because it’s cool that way not because this a logical part of the world. Like a picture made form peace severely different puzzle it’s pretty but...
That the feeling I got from the world building.
The magic is also a bit unclear there seems to be a 2 system one with rule we get hints at the other is unclear every time i thought I know the rules they seemed to change. Like do you need to make a deal with the wild or can it just take stuff, what can you trade, does what you trade have to be yours, what determines value (what do you get for a drop of blood vs a human sacrifice)....

not worth a credit
Revisado: 07-08-16
What would have made The Hungering Saga Complete better?
a main character that is more then a passive observer. He never takes proactive steps, and remains heavily reliant on others, wile not really trying to improve him self, everything he does seems half assed (that is to say, it feels like he's not really trying or when he does try he makes choices that undermine what he wants to achieve)
What could Heath Pfaff have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?
some of the base concepts of the magic system are good but it is not explored fully and feels waisted on a story that does not make full use of it.
You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?
no it did not. the main character comes across as useless most of the time to the point that i wondered why the side characters bothered with him.
Any additional comments?
i found the characters and there dispositions to be very frustrating

Historia
Winter is coming. Such is the stern motto of House Stark, the northernmost of the fiefdoms that owe allegiance to King Robert Baratheon in far-off King's Landing. There Eddard Stark of Winterfell rules in Robert's name. Far to the north, behind the towering Wall, lie savage Wildings and worse - unnatural things relegated to myth during the centuries-long summer, but proving all too real and all too deadly in the turning of the season. Yet a more immediate threat lurks to the south, where Jon Arryn, the Hand of the King, has died under mysterious circumstances....

stop now and run away
Revisado: 08-21-13
What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
a story that does not crush the soul then spit on it.
What could George R. R. Martin have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?
tolled me head of time that very character will like will be killed and you will end up read in the hope of seeing those you dislike die.
What character would you cut from A Game of Thrones?
i have read most of the books and at this rite there will be no one left to cut, so the question does not work.
Any additional comments?
save your self some greave and go find another series to read
