Historia
One man holds the key to locating the Ark of the Covenant - but he’s hidden deep in the desert and no one has seen him since he was a boy. In this explosive sequel to Blessed Child, Jewish soldier-turned-archaeologist Rebecca Soloman leads a team deep into the Ethiopian desert to find the one man who may know the final resting place of the Ark of the Covenant. Such a discovery would bring hope back to her people. Her search brings excitement and danger - including unexpected love and a discovery far more powerful than even the holy artifact.

Best of the best

This is Dekker at his absolute best. Bill's touch with the Spirit makes it fly.

Historia
For forty years, Colony 3245.12 has been Ofelia’s home. On this planet far away in space and time from the world of her youth, she has lived and loved, weathered the death of her husband, raised her one surviving child, lovingly tended her garden, and grown placidly old. And it is here that she fully expects to finish out her days - until the shifting corporate fortunes of the Sims Bancorp Company dictates that Colony 3245.12 is to be disbanded, its residents shipped off, deep in cryo-sleep, to somewhere new and strange and not of their choosing.

Master story teller
Revisado: 01-10-17
Not my usual genre but I saw the reviews and it was on sale. Wow. The author handles the human condition so well: community life, isolation, confined living, military, education, and the simple. Add that on top of crafting a whole new intelligent species, with a great plot, and you get a fantastic story. I really enjoyed listening to this. The only weakness was the believability of the last chapter, but that was even admitted by the author in the last 5-10 minutes.

Historia
The story of how I, Julian Carter, and my precious two-year old son, Stephen, left Atlanta Georgia and found ourselves on a white sailboat, tossed about like a cork on a raging sea off of Australia's northern tip in 1963, is harrowing. But it pales in comparison to what happened deep in the jungle where I was taken as a slave by a savage tribe unknown to the world. Some places dwell in darkness so deep that even God seems to stay away.

Well written. Some theological problems.
Revisado: 12-14-16
Great story and fun. Classic Dekker. I gave 4 stars to the story due what I think is a confusion about the theology of being fully human, which includes a holy material body that communicates to the soul. We can experience this now in part and fully after the resurrection. Dekker goes too far East at points in disregarding the body and what it communicates, replacing it as simply a vessel, tool, or "costume" for the purposes of God's use. God has more in mind I think for our enjoyment of God with our fallen and death flesh. However, don't let this review stop you from enjoying this great story from a wonderful storyteller.

Historia
Walter Wangerin's profound fantasy concerns a time when the sun turned around the earth and the animals could speak, when Chauntecleer the Rooster ruled over a more or less peaceful kingdom. What the animals did not know was that they were the Keepers of Wyrm, monster of evil long imprisoned beneath the earth ... and Wyrm, sub terra, was breaking free.
