Original story line, entertaining!

Fun plot and some twists. Multiple times I was thinking “where the heck is he going with this?” But it wrapped up to a satisfying conclusion. I had fun with it!

Overall good story line, interesting, nice twist near the end. My OCD clamors to know how a certain item moved from one place to another, but other than that, all nicely wrapped up. Will listen to more from this author

Unnecessary sellout

It started off fine, if a little too dramatic and long winded, but the unnecessary sellout blurb to the LGTBQ crowd made me stop listening. Completely unrelated to anything in the plot, felt like Sanderson had been forced to include a little blurb about how gender identity is fine in his book. Didn’t flow with the story, just a classic bit of sellout behavior. So I’m done with Sanderson’s work. No hate in my heart, but not spending my money on mental illness proliferation either.

Good pace, good build up

Fun listen, good plot, nice buildup with a fun ending. Get past the irritating teenager and awful family dynamic because the rest of it is worth it

Goodness gracious that got intense. And now I’m left on pins and needles waiting for the next book! So many questions that need answers
Fun read, feels like we are back into the old action. I like it!

Good story, not a fan of narrator

The story was fun, setting up for a bit of a twist on the zombie genre.
The style with which the narrator emphasizes stressed people screaming I found very irritating. When he does a females voice or the kids voice I had to stop listening a few times. Very grating to listen to.
The narrating was irritating to the point it overshadowed the story at times.

America bad, rest of world good

I listened into book two, it is a fun story line and the narrator is great! However, the constant “America is full of unreasonable and awful people and the rest of the world is so perfect” story line was just irritating after awhile.
Additionally, the sentient races found on each planet had zero development. It felt very rushed.
While the overall concept was a fun and entertaining idea, the characters were overly sophomoric and overdone.
Overall, glad it was free and I didn’t waste a credit on it.

Master of Storytelling

N. D. Wilson quickly became our families favorite author and few years ago when we read 100 Cupboards. This book met our expectations for excellence and all around delight. We hope you give it a try and that, like us, once you fall into the world of this story you don’t want to leave it. Cheers!
