Historia
A black swan is a highly improbable event with three principal characteristics: It is unpredictable; it carries a massive impact; and, after the fact, we concoct an explanation that makes it appear less random, and more predictable, than it was. The astonishing success of Google was a black swan; so was 9/11. For Nassim Nicholas Taleb, black swans underlie almost everything about our world, from the rise of religions to events in our own personal lives. Elegant, startling, and universal in its applications, The Black Swan will change the way you look at the world.

Black Swan lessons in belief
Revisado: 07-29-21
So many times I have watched the News, business and other and said, "There is no way that is right."
Black Swan seems to be in agreement that the news is often giving us it's best guess, which is rarely any better than my own. In fact my own guess may be better because I do not have the pull of bonuses or loss of my job weighting on my mind.
The book seems a bit long, the author a bit full of himself,. BUT the information and opinion presented are solid. Well worth the read for those who don't believe the hype of modern analyst.

Historia
Despite being immensely popular - and immensely lucrative - education is grossly overrated. In this explosive book, Bryan Caplan argues that the primary function of education is not to enhance students' skill but to certify their intelligence, work ethic, and conformity - in other words, to signal the qualities of a good employee.

Historia
When Greta Helsing, doctor to the undead, is unexpectedly called to Paris to present at a medical conference, she expects nothing more exciting than professional discourse on zombie reconstructive surgery and skin disease in bogeymen - and hopefully at least one uneventful night at the Opera. Unfortunately for Greta, Paris happens to be infested with a coven of vampires - and not the civilized kind. If she hopes to survive, Greta must navigate the darkest corners of the City of Lights, the maze of ancient catacombs and mine-tunnels underneath the streets.

Historia
John Robison argues that Asperger's is about difference, not disability. In this book he offers stories from his own life and from the lives of other Aspergians to give the reader a window into the Aspergian mind. Equally important, he offers practical advice - to Aspergians, their parents, and educators - on how Asperians can improve the weak communication and social skills that keep them from taking full advantage of, or even recognizing, their often remarkable gifts.

An excellent description of the authors journey in life with Asperger's. His struggles to understand himself and the non-aspergian world around him is both inspirational and telling. definitely worth a read for anyone who's felt different from the world around them.

Historia
Jonathan Mooney blends anecdote, expertise, and memoir to present a new mode of thinking about how we live and learn - individually, uniquely, and with advantages and upshots to every type of brain and body. He explores the toll that being not normal takes on kids and adults when they’re trapped in environments that label them, shame them, and tell them, even in subtle ways, that they are the problem.

Normal does suck
Revisado: 07-16-20
The concept of normal is overrated and the reason why is explained well here. so many of us are told for the first 18 years of our life that we are not normal and won't amount 2 as much as the normal kids will. this book explains why they were all wrong.

Historia
The daughter of a Legion war hero, fighting was in Andien Broxin's blood. But the battles Republic marines face on strange and alien worlds are a far cry from the vaunted, brutal, no-holds-barred conflicts fought at the edge of the galaxy by the elite legionnaires. Until a devastating war erupts right in the Republic’s stellar backyard. Newly stationed on a mid-core planet being harassed by terrorist revolutionaries, Andien and her fellow “hullbusters” find themselves right in the middle of a desperate fight for survival.

Historia
In 2012, on his third tour of duty in Afghanistan, an improvised explosive device left Dan Crenshaw's right eye destroyed and his left blinded. Only through the careful hand of his surgeons, and what doctors called a miracle, did Crenshaw's left eye recover partial vision. And yet, he persevered, completing two more deployments. Why? There are certain stories we tell ourselves about the hardships we face—we can become paralyzed by adversity or we can adapt and overcome. We can be fragile or we can find our fortitude. Crenshaw delivers a set of lessons to help you do just that.

When looking for a life path or road map to personnel growth a lot can be over looked. I would recommend this book to anyone looking for the path ahead through the confusion of the social justice landscape so many seem mired in today.

Historia
An explosive, whistle-blowing expose, Exonerated: The Failed Takedown of Donald Trump by the Swamp reveals how Deep State actors relied on a cynical plug-and-play template to manufacture the now-discredited Russiagate scandal. With the cutting analysis and insight he exhibited in his blockbuster bestseller Spygate: The Attempted Sabotage of Donald J. Trump, Fox News contributor Bongino exposes who masterminded the dangerous playbook to take down Trump, their motives, and how a plan filled with faked allegations backfired.

Trump Exoneration
Revisado: 02-23-20
Exonerated is the trail that should have been. If the house had heard what Dan Bongino has in this book they never would have sent impeachment on to the Senate. Most of the information and courses in this book can be easily searched. Articles from both sides are used to demonstrate the coordinated effort to impeach a sitting President and destroy those who are near and dear to him. Dan explains that key members of the Trump team were targetted, many from before they began with his campaign, and how they were set up to fall. Not as long as Spygate but with all the attention to detail readers are looking for, who are interested in the subject or just have an open mind.

The Fall of the FBI
Revisado: 02-23-20
Spygate, is a well-research book on how the justice system was weaponized against a political candidate. From leaks to lies and the ever-present omissions the investigation into the Trump campaign and subsequent Presidency is outline well with many open source references that can easily be googled if one would choose to. Remember the name, is clearly a standard for anyone who is looking into this subject and they have them all revealed here. Well, read by Dan Bongino.
