Historia
Destina Rosethorn—as her name implies—believes herself to be a favored child of destiny. But when her father dies in the War of the Lance, she watches her carefully constructed world come crashing down. She loses not only her beloved father but also the legacy he has left her: the family lands and castle. To save her father, she hatches a bold plan—to go back in time and prevent his death.

Like reading a infinite list! Dragonlance is over
Revisado: 05-31-23
last 4-5 books after the "Mina Trilogy" have been HARD to listen to. No reason to care for the 'protagonists'! it's depressing to someone who's read these books since 1986; I'll miss it.

Historia
The Summer of Chaos has ended. Ansalon’s nightmare has only just begun.
The gods have departed the world, heralding a new Age of Mortals. But before the dust of war can settle, vast shadows cover the land. Dragons have come to Ansalon, larger and more powerful than any ever seen, and they will wreak havoc on nations still trembling from war. As the lands themselves begin to change under the dire magic of the new dragon overlords, new heroes arise to lead the fight for freedom.

Boring, but War of Souls Trilogy is based on it...
Revisado: 04-28-22
The War of Souls Trilogy (a Good Trilogy) has No Context without it. This 5th Age Trilogy - Jean Rabe's writing is awful! The descriptive sections are PAINFULL! It's almost like "The sky was blue. The sand was brown There were some sounds. A table was in the kitchen." What's worse though is that the beginning of each chapter goes on like that for FIFTEEN MINUTES! I suggest you Fast Forward past it to the dialogue! Then at the end of the chapter, you have the action phases which aren't exciting, or dramatic. It would be easier to listen to if each chapter ended right after the dialogue saying "Then they did as they planned and moved on." If you skip this 5th Age trilogy though and dive into the War of Souls, you'll be confused, wondering "Why are the Knights of Takhisis called the Knights of Neraka?" Why are there so few dragons? Who are these new dragons? Why was Palin imprisoned by these Neraka Knights? Should I even finish this War of Souls Trilogy with all of this lack of context? It's hard to even care about the characters in The War of Souls without the 5th Age context! So it's better to LISTEN TO this 5h Age Trilogy before reading The . I tried to read it in paperback and kept falling asleep!
