Historia
Nicola Marter was born with a gift. When she touches an object, she sometimes glimpses those who have owned it before. When a woman arrives with a small wooden carving at the gallery Nicola works at, she can see the object’s history and knows that it was named after the Firebird - the mythical creature from an old Russian fable. Compelled to know more, Nicola follows a young girl named Anna who leads her into the past on a quest through the glittering backdrops of the Jacobites and Russian courts, unearthing a tale of love, courage, and redemption.

Darkly handsome Ciaran MacLeod revels in his life as a Highland warrior. He spends his days training with his comrades at Duntulm Castle on the far cliffs of the Isle of Skye, and takes his pick of smitten lasses. However, Ciaran harbors a secret, passed down from his dead mother, that has caused him to become deeply suspicious of love. He’s grateful he doesn’t have to worry about taking a wife, for the castle is efficiently run by Violette, a plain young Frenchwoman who covers her head with a gable hood and reveals nothing of her own past.

Loved This Novel So Much!
Revisado: 10-23-19
I loved this book with Tim Campbell’s narrative so much that I found myself listening and reading up to 4 hours at one time. Cynthia Wright takes you to the beautiful Isle of Skye where we find the handsome Highlander Ciaran MacLeod at Duntulm Castle determined to never marry. He’s contented to bed any lass that catches his eye and never has he found one not wanting to come to his bed. Enters Violette Pasquiére the castles plain, unattractive housekeeper who seems to be hiding a secret that could endanger her. Ciaran and Violette have become friends but she is definitely not his type and she finds his bedding all the lasses he wants disgusting.
As time goes by the the Clan MacLeod faces a deadly threat from another clan and Ciaran is expected to do his part in protecting the clan, a forced marriage to help reinforce the clans number of warriors to fight the planned invasion of their beloved home. With Ciaran so opposed to this political marriage that will take away his freedom and become a pawn in his grandfather’s plan for the clan he turns to his one friend that feels the same as he does about marriage, Violette, but what can she do? He proposes a plan to her that will save him from the political marriage to Judith MacRae who lusts for his body. Ciaran will not be forced against his will and he will be the one to determine who he marries. So he decides that Violette will marry him instead and he will employ a custom found in the Highlands that allow a husband to put his wife away after a year than once again he will be free. Ay first she refuses and he can’t understand why she finds him so unacceptable as a husband and if she does marry him how will this affect the shameful secret that she has hidden so well. How will this sham of a marriage affect them both? Will it destroy the clan, destroy their friendship and forever alter both Ciaran and Violette’s future happiness?
Read and listen to Cynthia’s thrilling novel and listen to Tim Campbell’s deep and husky voice as he narrates, “Return Of The Lost Bride.” You won’t be disappointed!

Sizzling Romance At The Highest
Revisado: 09-22-18
First of all let me tell you how much I love Cynthia Wright’s novels, but when she has Tim Campbell narrating I am absolutely in heaven.
Now to this delicious novel. Nicholai Beauvisage has returned home a man who has had his heart torn out by what has taken place in France. His first night back finds him comforting and I mean, comforting Lisette Hahn who owns and operates a coffeehouse in Philadelphia in 1793. She has the beauty and charm that can charm any of her admirers but because of a broken heart she lacks interest in men. But how did Nicholai break that icy barrier that Lisette has formed and why did she allow Nicholai to breach that barrier but will she allow him to keep it opened. But as we know sometimes blossoming love may have a thorn or two that tries to destroy a relationship that could turn into something beautiful. Inter Marcus Reems who if you remember was a villain in Cynthia’s novel, Touch The Sun, and please read this great book also because many of our characters from this wonderful book is in this one also. Will he succeed to destroy lisette and Nicholai’s future that could mean love and happiness? Please find out by reading, Spring Fires right along with the fantastic voice of Tim Campbell who makes one all melt and feel tingly. You will become a big fan of both Cynthia Wright and Tim Campbell I promise you!!

Alex has a way that draws you into each character's personality and the situation that the character is under going. His voice and expressions are superb. Loved This Audiobook
Revisado: 02-07-17
Once again Cynthia Wright has proved that her Renaissance Romantic Books are the very best. She has even mad them more memorable with the talented Tim Campbell's narration. Her book "You And No Other" is one of my favorite because of the handsome Thomas St. Briac who is determined never to marry but than he's never met the impulsive and bewitching Aimee de Fleurance who pretends to be her sister and finds herself in the court of the King of France where St. Briac unwillingly aids her in keeping the King fooled as to her identity. This book has plenty of twists and turns and finds St Briac falling hopelessly in love with Aimee who constantly needs saving from the romantic advances of the King who thinks she is her sister.
With the fantastic Tim Campbell's narrative and his wonderful voice that captures each and ever character's personalities. This is an Audiobook that you must have to listen to and read long with Cynthia Wright's great book. So set back and let You And No Other take you on an amazing journey with Thomas and Aimee. You won't be sorry!

What a wonderful book!
Revisado: 11-29-16
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
If you haven't read any of Lucinda Brant's Roxton Family Series, you are missing the most wonderful and romantic series!
What was one of the most memorable moments of Midnight Marriage: A Georgian Historical Romance?
The very beginning when the elderly Roxton takes his son to meet his very young girl to become engaged.
What does Alex Wyndham bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Alex brings to life each character. I have listened to The Roxton Family Series three times and Alex Wyndham is the reason!
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
I was moved whe Julian sees Deborah after 3 months and doesn't realize she is carrying his child. When he abruptly leaves. His action was this immediatly after, "as if all the emotional fight suddenly drained from him. He slumped against the wall and slowly slid down the paneling to the bottom step. Here he covered his face with his hands and sobbed."
Any additional comments?

Autumn Duchess Is Wonderful
Revisado: 11-25-15
I have read, "Autumn Duchess" a number of times and loved the story so very much. Just imagine to my delight to hear Alex Wyndham's marvelous voice in the character of all of the people I have come to know, admire and love! His voice takes on the great sadness that Antonia, Dowager Duchess of Roxton, feels after the loss of her great love, the Fifth Duke of Roxton, now going on three years. Her friends and even her oldest son begin to wonder about her sanity. Than Jonathan Strang, a bronzed, devilishly handsome merchant who is a decade younger than her pursues Antonia, and is bound and determined to make her his bride to the surprise of Antonia and to her oldest son who is now the Sixth Duke of Roxron who is bound and determined to run the "wolf" away from his mother. Will Antonia give into her emotions and desires that suddenly have come alive by Jonathan or will she remain alone and determined to remain loyal to her dead husband. You must read and than listen to Autumn Duchess, by Lucinda Brant. You will fall in love with the "The Roxton Family Saga" which this is the third book of the series.

Noble Satyr Such A Fantastic Audiobook
Revisado: 11-13-15
I have read the "Noble Satyr," by Lucinda Brant along with the other "Roxton Family Books" countless of times but when I listened to the audiobook narrated by Alex Wyndham, it was as if I was a silent character in the audiobook. Yes, I literally felt as if I was right there during each and every scene!
