Captivating characters, masterful storytelling!
Revisado: 03-31-21
Drew Hayes is the king of sci-fi stories, the characters were relatable and likable and the story kept me riveted like almost no other -of my well over 150 story’s. the narrator was great, I like when I don’t have to pay attention to the voice and I can see the story play out in my brain instead. Overall one of the best books I’ve had the pleasure of listening to

Interesting and action filled
Revisado: 10-06-20
Very fulfilling book, I think the point of Anna being the smartest person in the planet as the book makes it look, and I believe is intentional, because of the “red angel” . So she does miraculous things, not because everyone is incompetent except her; but because red is the smartest one of all.

Unapologetically not the hunger games. YES.
Revisado: 05-26-20
First I must say I love Santino Fontana, his narration is perfect in every was except he just didn’t sing, but he didn’t need to. I loved the fact we got to hear the genesis story for president snow, the slow character changes that had to happen before we could see the President Snow in katniss’s story. It was a shock to see the boy that started the story, but everybody has an equal chance for good or evil and I was enthralled to see his journey. I loved loved loved that the author wasn’t worried about writing a hunger games novel this is a different story just about Correalanus Snow and it is completely new!!

Fun, fast paced, intriguing.
Revisado: 04-10-20
I loved the back story, it pulls you in yet keeps you guessing like a good spy novel should. The narrator was awesome , she has a really good voice. The author is a little heavy on the breathy, foreplayish sex scenes; but made up for it in a really satisfying book overall.this is a must read in my opinion.

Historia
How did Fidel Castro fool the CIA for a generation? Why did Neville Chamberlain think he could trust Adolf Hitler? Why are campus sexual assaults on the rise? Do television sitcoms teach us something about the way we relate to each other that isn't true? While tackling these questions, Malcolm Gladwell was not solely writing a book for the page. He was also producing for the ear. In the audiobook version of Talking to Strangers, you’ll hear the voices of people he interviewed - scientists, criminologists, military psychologists.

Malcolm Gladwell did very well narrating, but his story was painfully biased and tilted to the his own viewpoint
Revisado: 01-10-20
The story was engaging and interesting to a fault, but for a book about talking to strangers, he gave his examples from a tight viewpoint without looking at all the angles, I found that he played to a certain narrative that didn’t always completely fit the story because ( at least to me) he was biased a certain way, and so he made that the outcome. Overall, the point he is making- though weak- is probably true; he ignores some factors, and glosses over others, because his goal is all he sees. Overall I think it was worth my credit for some of the info in the book but the end point was not worth listening to it for.

This book was full of joy and fear, excitement and wonder of a new world. It showed me the rules of this world and envited me in. I was afraid I would pretty much know the plot but it has wonderful loophole that you never quite see coming.
I love the book as much as the other robin McKinley books I have read and would recommend to all.
