Perfect for any vegan!

Such a great book. So glad to have a resource like this to help explain veganism to people that don’t have a clue about what they’re arguing about.

Historia
Pyrre Lakatur is not, to her mind, an assassin, not a murderer - she is a priestess. At least, she will be once she passes her final trial. The problem isn't the killing. The problem, rather, is love. For to complete her trial, Pyrre has ten days to kill the seven people enumerated in an ancient song, including "the one who made your mind and body sing with love / who will not come again." Pyrre isn't sure she's ever been in love.

So good it made me rethink my rating system.
Revisado: 11-22-20
I absolutely loved this book. I don’t understand how an author can build such an epic story and cast of characters in such a short book. I love fantasy stories and routinely rate books as four or five stars, but this one was so good it made me think of going back and downgrading all of my previous five star ratings to fours. Also, the narrator is incredible. I hope she continues to perform fantasy audiobooks.

Historia
The ancient csestriim are back to finish their purge of humanity; armies march against the capital; leaches, solitary beings who draw power from the natural world to fuel their extraordinary abilities, maneuver on all sides to affect the outcome of the war; and capricious gods walk the earth in human guise with agendas of their own.

Such an amazing trilogy!
Revisado: 11-14-20
Wow! This is a must listen in my opinion. I’m a huge epic fantasy fan partly due to the lengths of the books and the depth of character development that is achievable by great authors. For reference, I’ve listened to hundreds of fantasy/science fiction books. Given the relatively short length of this trilogy, I was surprised to find myself emotionally connected to the three main protagonists, even Kaiden (and yes, I get the irony). I was also really happy with how the story was mostly wrapped up by the end. I hope for many more books to come from this fantasy universe.

Historia
With the south in full rebellion, the goblins stirring on the northern frontier, and the summer capital being run by a corrupt baron and a gang of thugs, things could be better. But those aren’t the worst of her problems: Pentandra is learning how to live with her new husband, Arborn, while the town is driven to distraction by an incarnate sex goddess who is organizing all of the whores, a mopey spellmonger, a nun addicted to gambling, a prude sent by the queen, undead skulking through the shadows, and a mysterious blind girl shows up in her office claiming to be her new apprentice.

Just a little slow
Revisado: 04-24-19
This is yet another of the spellmonger books that takes place during the same timeline as a previous book, but from a different character’s perspective. The performance was good overall, as usual. The story, however, seemed a bit slow. The most exciting parts of this book were descriptions of other character’s missions. I was a little bored throughout.
