In a world where everything magical is bought up and controlled by the super rich - Stephen Oakwood has inherited a natural talent for magic. Plunged by his father's disappearance into a glittering world of scheming dynasties, warring patriarchs and vicious scions, Stephen must navigate magical high society and learn to control his gifts. Dangerous enemies await the Oakwood heir, and even more dangerous allies: if Stephen cannot master his magic quickly and learn to distinguish friend from foe, his name may end up on the missing persons list, just like his father.

Realistic though it’s supposed to be fantasy
Revisado: 04-09-25
Hard to believe it’s an urban fantasy but choosing London as backdrop helped a lot made it real. The author did a great job of getting into the mind of the MC (reminded me of MCs of S.E. Hinton’s).

Another interesting story after long wait
Revisado: 07-19-24
Did AK write these book while hospitalised or something? I read somewhere he was hospitalised for some major surgery or because of some accident. The last book in land series, MC was kinda stuck in one setting, in God’s eye the MC was stuck in one place and in Alpha, MC is stuck in hospital throughout the book. Instead writing the next book in the land series he keeps starting new ones. Is he going through some writer’s block when it comes to land series. There was lot of bad reviews for his last land book but I was fine with it. I like his writing style, it’s funny and I enjoy reading / listening to it. And so what if he calls himself the Father of litrpg? It’s a form of advertising he did for himself to sell his books and I don’t understand the hatred that followed. Just give the man a break and let him continue writing. I strongly believe the backlash for the last book in land is what made him pause his writing for land series. If you are reading this Dr Aleron Kong, I hope you continue the Land series ASAP. Thank you.

Historia
Returning to Guthrie, Oklahoma, for the funeral of his mysterious and beloved aunt, Sue, Adam Binder once again finds himself in the path of deadly magic when a dark druid begins to prey on members of Adam’s family. It all seems linked to the death of Adam’s father many years ago - a man who may have somehow survived as a warlock. Watched by the police, separated from the man who may be the love of his life, compelled to seek the truth about his connection to the druid, Adam learns more about his family and its troubled history than he ever bargained for.

One of the best wizard /warlock series
Revisado: 08-26-22
After Jim Butcher’s Dresden files and Benedict Jacka’s Alex Verus series, Adam Binder series definitely deserves its placement as one of the best wizard / warlock book series..

The MCs reminded me of the Dark Angel series
Revisado: 07-30-21
Really found the LITRPG magic system in this book unique from the every other LITRPG books, thats the real plus for this series and I think the author took inspiration from the Dark Angel series (one of my favourites) for the main MCs. Besides, it also had its funny moments which puts this series among the top of my favourite LITRPG books.

Historia
Nesta Archeron has always been prickly-proud, swift to anger, and slow to forgive. And ever since being forced into the Cauldron and becoming High Fae against her will, she's struggled to find a place for herself within the strange, deadly world she inhabits. Against the sweeping backdrop of a world seared by war and plagued with uncertainty, Nesta and Cassian battle monsters from within and without as they search for acceptance - and healing - in each other's arms.

Disappointed
Revisado: 06-28-21
I expected more from Nesta and she ended up just another character “Loving” the “perfect” Feyre.. I disliked Feyre from the moment she decided to take revenge upon the high lord of Spring court and that resulted in the Great War due to the downfall of Tamlin..

Some part similar to Reset series by Shemer Kuznits
Revisado: 06-07-21
It’s like a mashup of many different litRPG books I’ve read / listened to so far. The closest being Reset series where a high level player is betrayed and transformed into a Goblin.

Historia
Hudson, Madison, and Kai are thrilled when they come across something that shouldn't even exist yet in the new world of PrimeVerse: a village! Finally, they will have time to slow down and take a break. Or not. They can't gain entry without first completing a challenging quest that the villagers couldn't. Nothing is ever easy, is it? Especially when their quest takes them into uncharted territory: a dungeon with a hard and fast death limit.

Revisado: 11-01-20
Can’t stand the MC and Madison (why can’t there be a more interesting rounded character then the goody two shoes “so beautiful” blonde?) plus.. I thought both Kai and MC got some Hunter’s clothes from Tim ‘s stock pile at the end of the 1 st book.. why are they in their underpants if they didn’t die in between?

Nothing happened in the story. So disappointed!
Revisado: 07-18-20
Waited so long for Jim Butcher to finish Peace Talks and now I feel cheated. Half the book is about how Harry D wants to desperately do Lara the succubus. This book is just a set up of events that will take place in the following instalment of the series. It’s like every character who played major role in the series from the beginning seem to make an appearance in the book and nothing happens! You can just skip this book and see what happens in the next one because that’s the Part 2 with the real events.

Historia
I’m Sorcha McMurphy. I thought magic didn’t exist until I found a stolen dragon hatchling and got a letter of acceptance to a supernatural school for dragon riders. I’m literally flown away to a college that teaches sword fighting, magic casting, and general ass-kicking. Here, the dragon clans are at war, and there’s an evil that threatens to destroy the riders forever. They think I’m the chosen one destined to save the clans, but I’m no hero. If only I could stop myself from loving the cursed guy in my dragon keeping class long enough to save the world.

More for a 14 year old
Revisado: 01-15-20
Its bad. Its more for early teens and I couldn't stand the whole falling for that gorgeous bad guy wannabe who is actually nice to you. The magic and world creation is alright but its too cheesy.
