Historia
What is the meaning of life? It's a question every thoughtful person has pondered at one time or another. Indeed, it may be the biggest question of all-at once profound and universal, but also deeply personal. We want to understand the world in which we live, but we also want to understand how to make our own lives as meaningful as possible; to know not only why we're living, but that we're doing it with intention, purpose, and ethical commitment.

Exceptionally good
Revisado: 06-08-15
Interesting, informative and fun. This was well worth the time spent listening. Exceptional value. I fully intend to listen to the whole 18hours again to make up for moments of distraction.
The lectures are well planned, clear and stimulating in focus - encouraging reflection and a desire to acquire more. I found the level of academic content and reference well pitched: examples and explanations were concise and catered for my own level of learning.

Historia
The Romans have long since departed, and Britain is steadily declining into ruin. But at last the wars that once ravaged the country have ceased. The Buried Giant begins as a couple, Axl and Beatrice, set off across a troubled land of mist and rain in the hope of finding a son they have not seen for years. They expect to face many hazards--some strange and otherworldly--but they cannot yet foresee how their journey will reveal to them dark and forgotten corners of their love for one another.

A book to treasure, a story to return to.
Revisado: 04-27-15
A masterful performance of a skillfully crafted story, rich in purpose and imagery. There is a compelling beauty in this universal theme of remembering and forgetting, of a personal quest and the soul's essential journey.

Historia
A full-cast dramatisation of Robert Graves' brilliant account of the madness and debauchery of ancient Rome, starring Tom Goodman Hill as Claudius and Derek Jacobi as Augustus. The wickedly entertaining inside story of the lives and deaths of the Imperial dynasty from Augustus to Caligula is told by their obscure relation, Claudius. In public, Claudius is a stammering, drooling weakling, whose reputation as an idiot keeps him safe from office and assassination.

Wonderful

This took me back to my youth, to rooms full of books and a time when reading from dusk till dawn and listening to late night bbc plays on the radio was a part of my every-day world.
