What a fantastic read/listen. This book manages to both feel so intimate and personal, while still seeming relatable to everyone. Through her unique experiences and personal journey Shauna shares her decades of personal self discovery in just these few hours. Her openness and vulnerability adds to the approachability of the ideas and techniques she presents. You are the boss of you kindly and unjudgmentally walks the reader through a discussion about how to live a more authentic life. I could not recommend this book more highly. I look forward to more from Shauna in the near future.

I love Scalzi's writing but not this book

I love Scalzi’s work, but

This was just not one of his best. It was hard to get into and I did not make any real connection to any of the characters. Glad I listened to it, but won’t listen to it again.

The book was quite enjoyable…

I like the authors other work, so I figured I would give this one a try. Though it was slow to start, and I question whether or not to continue, I’m glad I did. The Biane took longer than I expected but once it was a very enjoyable story. Enough so now I’m going to have to get the series. The character development takes a little while but the wait.
