Historia
Nyx was born Hollow. An empty vessel in a world of spirits. Normally, that was a death sentence, yet somehow he survived. He's always been stubborn like that. He's also always been a bit crazy. Which is why, in another life, he did something reckless. He sent himself a message—his memories. Threw them into the Flow from which all spirits return. Besides, Nyx believed in asking hard questions. Like, was reincarnation real?

Historia
A hulked-out wrath demon who eats gamer rage and loves cats, a shapeshifting lust demon who enjoys their food a bit too much, and a void demon who doesn’t see the point of any of this. They’re not the sort of mercenaries you'd hire on purpose, but Bex wouldn’t trust her life to anyone else. Ever since the ancient Mesopotamian king Gilgamesh decided death wasn’t for him, killed the gods, and conquered the afterlife, times have been rough for a free demon.

I wasn’t sure at first if I was going to like this but by the end of the book, I was hoping for another! It’s not perfect and could definitely be better but still fun and enjoyable.

Excellent story and I love that they got the actors to do all the voices! It made it so you felt right back in the 90’s Buffyverse!

Historia
Gabriel Delling might call himself a professional con artist, but when walking superstitions start trying to bite his face off, his charm is shockingly unhelpful. It turns out living nightmares almost never appreciate a good joke. Together with a succubus who insists on constantly saving his life, Gabe desperately tries to survive a new reality that suddenly features demons, legends, and a giant locust named Dale - all of whom pretty much hate his guts. And when an ancient horror comes hunting for a spirit locked in his head, Gabe finds himself faced with the excruciating choice between death...or becoming some kind of freaking hero.

Just try it!
Revisado: 08-07-23
Seriously. Go. Now. Listen. I just finished this one, 5 minutes ago and am downloading the next. It’s just fun. I liked it. I liked the character. I am now a fan and thrilled it’s been long enough that there are 3 more out! I’m sure they will be done by the end of the week and I’ll be sad. But that’s ok! The author narrating it is completely ok! I love Stephen King so much but I dread when he narrates his own books. I just do. This is definitely not him! I still love SK though! Now I love Josh too!

Historia
Filled with breathtaking scenes, the elemental north woods, the sweep of seasons, an iconic American barn, a fateful vision rendered in the falling rain. The Story of Edgar Sawtelle is a meditation on the limits of language and what lies beyond, a brilliantly inventive retelling of an ancient story, and an epic tale of devotion, betrayal, and courage in the American heartland.

Yes, it’s heart wrenching but such an amazing story with characters you love and some you hate. I read this book years ago and remembered liking it but had forgotten much of the story. I very much enjoyed it more listening to it. The narration is perfect as well. I highly recommend it.

Eh…..
Revisado: 12-09-22
Wish I hadn’t spent a credit on this. The Dresden story with Toot Toot was cute and I enjoyed it. I ended up skipping through the rest of the stories after about 10 minutes into each one. Either the story was uninteresting or just plain bad writing or the people reading the stories were hard to listen to. I did listen to the last story by Patricia Briggs and it was ok.

Historia
Felicia, Lizbeth Rose’s younger half-sister and student at the Grigori school within the capital of the New Holy Russian Empire in San Diego, is caught between secrets and powerful family struggles. As a distant relative to the Tsar, she provides an essential service to him by providing blood transfusions for his hemophilia, and she is thus given rare access and dismissed as if cattle. At the Grigori school she is seen as a charity case, a poor orphan with no prospects and no sign of magical prowess—the latter which Felicia keeps purposefully hidden.

Disappointed
Revisado: 12-01-22
I’ve been anxiously awaiting this book only to be severely disappointed. The book is about Felicia and Lizbeth and Eli are only mentioned. It was cheesy, predictable, and should be in the YA section of the book store. Wish I hadn’t wasted a credit. 😞😞
