Historia
For Edmond Dantes, life couldn't be better. At 19, he is soon to be captain of his own ship and about to be married to his true love, Mercedes. But his life is suddenly turned upside down when on his wedding day he is arrested. Without a fair trial, he is condemned to solitary confinement in the miserable Chateau d'If. Soon, it is clear that Edmond has been framed by a handful of powerful enemies, jealous of his success.

The Count of Monte Cristo
Revisado: 04-19-17
Audible has abridged this classic work to the point where you can't even follow the plot. The main characters are strangers to you. I had to "abandon ship" and read the actual book. When so many books are 30 and 35 hours long, The Count of Monte Cristo has been shortened to 17 1/2 hours. For a 1400 page book! I was so confused that I couldn't even enjoy listening. There has to be a happy medium somewhere. Of course the book itself is tremendous. It has all the elements: escape, adventure, love, philosophy...but don't bother listening to it, at least not this version. Just read it!
