I love Phillipa Gregory's historical fiction because she always leaves me feeling as though I could be reading/listening to a story about people that live in the here and now. She puts you in their shoes, and gives some insight (even if it may be fiction) into how choices were made and why. The Audible versions always select the very best narrators for her books and this one is no different. Highly recommend!

I enjoyed this story, set during a time and era so very far removed from my own. the characters are entertaining and I love the narration.

I loved this book! I am a fan of Dan Jones' historical programs on the television so I gave this Audible a try, with no regrets! The content is easy to follow, but not so easy, to be tiresome or mundane. The narration was such that I felt like I was listening to a story of people I know, causing me to binge listen for hours, out of interest in "how will it all end"! The "War of The Roses" by Dan Jones is a fantastic listen for anyone interested in this period of Englands history, and that of its leading nobles.
