Historia
Valentine Layton, the Duke of Malvern, has twin problems: literally. It was always his father’s hope that Valentine would marry Miss Arabella Tarleton. But, unfortunately, too many novels at an impressionable age have caused her to grow up...romantic. So romantic that a marriage of convenience will not do and after Valentine’s proposal she flees into the night determined never to set eyes on him again. Arabella’s twin brother, Mr. Bonaventure “Bonny” Tarleton, has also grown up...romantic. And fully expects Valentine to ride out after Arabella.

Amazing narration, obnoxious characters
Revisado: 04-20-23
The good: Nicholas Boulton was the perfect narrator. His accent is great, and he did a good job doing different voices for each character. The MC, Valentine, Duke of Malvern, is grouchy and clueless at the beginning, but he learns a lot about himself over the course of the story. There are several cute moments between him and Bonaventure ("Bonny") Tarleton.
The bad: Most of the other characters are complete jerks. Rarely have I seen a character as obnoxious, immature, and just plain stupid as Arabella Tarleton, the woman Valentine was pledged to marry. Her behavior is ridiculous, and quite frankly, TSTL. By the end I was hoping she would be horribly killed in some way. Most of the other characters are pointlessly mean to poor Valentine, basically just because he's a man and a Duke. Even Bonny does this several times. By the end I was struggling to finish because I was just so mad at the characters.
YMMV.

Historia
Julien Doran arrived in sleepy Maudit Falls, North Carolina, with a heart full of hurt and a head full of questions. The key to his brother's mysterious last days might be found in this tiny town, and now Julien's amateur investigation is starting to unearth things the locals would rather keep buried. Perhaps most especially the strange, magnetic manager of a deserted retreat that's nearly as odd as its staff.

Excellent start to a spinoff series!
Revisado: 01-22-23
I loved Charlie Adhara's Big Bad Wolf series, which I read in ebook. When I found out she had a spinoff, in audio with Joel Leslie, I had high expectations. I was not disappointed. Adhara's characters are multifaceted as always. There's action and a bit of humor. Joel Leslie does an excellent job of differentiating between characters, giving each one a unique voice. That was especially important since both MCs had chapters, unlike in the Big Bad Wolf series. If you like werewolves and intrigue, give Pack of Lies a listen. It's different from the BBW series, but in a way I enjoyed.

Historia
My job was supposed to be easy: Meet the dominant Alien race of Mukhana, negotiate an alliance, and leave. Being literally carried away into the night changes everything. Kidnapping a human is asking for trouble. Every alien in the galaxy should know that by now, but the nassa are more barbaric than expected. Despite some small similarities with humans, their culture is hard to comprehend. They're kind yet controlling, warm yet stern. Even though he literally kidnapped me and will fight to keep me, Saar seems to respect me and maybe even care for me.

Unexpectedly fun!
Revisado: 09-20-22
I went in to this listen not expecting a whole lot. When one MC kidnaps the other, it tends to be a bit too Stockholm Syndrome for me, and the "alpha" MC often comes off as a controlling jerk.
In this story, the alpha MC was sweet and caring, even if he was stubborn. The alien culture in the story was really interesting. Kirt Graves did a great job with the voices.
If you can suspect disbelief and just roll with the story, The Alien's Kidnapped Omega is a fun listen with likeable characters. I plan to get the sequel when it comes out on Audible.

Cute story, awkward narration.
Revisado: 10-23-20
I like Lynn Michaels, and probably would have enjoyed this more if I had read it in print. The narrator was just awkward. His female voice was cringe-worthy, and the voice he did for the second MC was like I would imagine a European grandma sounds. Ok, but definitely not a re-listen. YMMV
