Historia
Fatal conveniences are the toxic products we routinely use and the unhealthy things we do that our culture and corporations have made us believe are safe and necessary for living well and efficiently. These things—from deodorant, cosmetics, dental floss, and sunscreen to laundry detergent, air fresheners, carpets, and crayons to candles, tea bags, cell phones, and chewing gum—are ubiquitous in daily life . . . and they are wreaking havoc on our health and our planet.

Historia
The culmination of everything Tristan Gooley has written so far: How to take what you learn about the outdoors - and make it second nature. Fans of master outdoorsman Tristan Gooley have learned that the world is filled with clues to look for - we can use the Big Dipper to tell time, for example, and a budding flower to find south. But what about the innate survival instincts that told Gooley to move on one night, just as he was about to make camp? Everything looked perfect, but something felt wrong.

I love nature , hiking, just bring outdoors. This book groups all the aspects into one whole. It really opens your eyes , actually all your senses ,to be more aware of what is going on in nature, It makes you ask questions, seek answers. I never knew “ signs” where always there but I never noticed. Any body that loves the outdoors, nature, our environment, should read this book.

Historia
Gripping and often poetic, Alone Against the North is a classic adventure story of single-minded obsession, physical hardship, and the restless sense of wonder that every explorer has in common. What Shoalts discovered as he paddled downriver was a series of unmapped waterfalls that could easily have killed him. Just as astonishing was the media reaction when he got back to civilization. He was feted by the Royal Canadian Geographical Society and congratulated by the Governor General. People were enthralled by Shoalts’s proof that the world is bigger than we think.
