Terribly unlikable main character.

Fantastic narration but the main character is a horrible person. The story was lacking and numerous characters act quite unbelievably. It pulled me out of the story every time I shook my head act the actions these dummies repeatedly took. Keep your credits and find it at your library.

I loved the first two books.

I am at a loss as to why the narrator (usually a great listen) made Harry sound like a cartoon character. That coupled with the storyline totally lost on me make this one a miss. I will skip to the next one and cross my fingers.

I had no idea!

I stay up on current events and consider myself well informed about the world around me. I had no idea how much I did not know about the oil industry. The information I knew had been parcelled out in tiny bits and half stories. After the first chapter I realised I had been in the dark and was ignorant. Rachel does one of her impressive deep dives here and I learned so much.

My devotion to Emma Thompson has survived decades and she has never let me down. I absolutely adore her! The cast here is superb! Emma is magical and transports any listener (including non Austen loving coworkers) to every wonderful setting in the book. Incredible!
