Am I alone here?
Revisado: 11-23-22
Maybe it’s me… but I really could not tolerate this narration. I’ve never given up on an audiobook but this one I really couldn’t handle. I know everyone has different tastes, but this narrator isn’t for me…
Not only that though, the story it’s self didn’t really hold my attention the way I hoped it would. I might continue on, since the rest are narrated by Zachary Johnson whom I love, so we will see!

Best Yet
Revisado: 11-14-22
Alright, hands down probably the best one of the series so far!!
SO much happened in such a short span of time, my head feels like it’s whirling trying to catch up.
This series is nothing less than addictive. The world this author has created is honestly breathtaking, and I cannot comprehend the time and care it has to take to pull together all the details necessary to do so.
With this story, I loved that we got lots of new characters. I feel like what I previously knew before I read this book was just a drop in the bucket compared to what was unveiled here and I am beyond ready for the next book.
I am also so happy that Victor is getting his soul mate. I was worried about the direction he was going to be taken in and I’m really happy with how it turned out!
As always, the narration here is just nothing short of sultry and perfect for all the steamy scenes (and this book had what felt like SEVERAL back to back!) so good!

Having saved one world, they return to Earth, only to find it has been rocked by ominous quakes bearing a close resemblance to the phenomenon that nearly destroyed the Dryad kingdom. After defeating demons that emerge from a crevasse in San Francisco, Cassius and Morgan rescue the Wild God Pan with the help of Victor Sloan and the city's otherwordly. But instead of thanking them, Pan makes a startling demand.

Only Getting Better
Revisado: 11-09-22
Holy freak, this book was good. I thought I enjoyed the last two but this one seriously just set the bar so much higher.
I love MM romance, and I love urban fantasy. And I especially love when these two genres can come together in a way the feels like you can’t have one without the other - like the only way the fantasy and adventure aspect can move forward is if the romance keeps pace.
THIS story does just that. I love Cassius and Morgan, and I love Morgan’s possessive nature and how much it starts to come through in this book.
Also, I love urban fantasy’s when I truly cannot see what might happen next or what might be revealed. I feel like there are too many stories that become predictable and after awhile it loses its thunder. This series though? Oh no. It’s very spontaneous but so perfectly weaving together, I love it.
This book does a great job of also weaving in what feels like normal conversations and talking points/humor that would exist in real life between coworkers and friends, and I really appreciate the effort put in here, because too often books focus too much on only plot development.
Also, as I’ve said before: Alex Kydd is freaking phenomenal with the narration. His voice is so damn sexy and the steamy scenes are enough to make you break a sweat!
(Side not. I LOVE Loki. He is probably one of my favorite side characters lol)

Definitely worth the listen!
Revisado: 11-06-22
It irks me to no end that I cannot give this the full 5 stars I think it deserves. But I just cannot bring myself to do that… Ugh!
The reason I can’t, is because I actually never liked Eden throughout the majority of this book, and I truly feel like this story could have left out her POV and still delivered on all the main plot points and background information.
I really wished that we could have gotten more of Morgan and Cassisus’ back story, but I respect the fact that the author has to do more world building and I have no doubt that everything that happened here will serve a bigger role in the future.
The narration, as with the first book, was spectacular Alex Kydd was perfect in his execution. I swear, the way he reads could make anyone blush lol
On to book 3!

Holy Crap, How didn’t I find this sooner???
Revisado: 11-06-22
It never ceases to amaze me, even after scrolling through goodreads or on various groups that recommend books - that books that are this good get overlooked!
After being in a book slump after catching up on another series I was desperately looking for another series to listen to on audio and I am SO glad this was recommended! How I never came across it sooner since it is exactly the kind of book I love, is beyond me!
I’ve read many books that put their own twists on the urban fantasy and supernatural world, but this really does feel unique in its approach! (I don’t think I’ve felt this excited about an urban fantasy universe since the Soulbound series by Hailey Turner if I’m being honest.)
I love that we are experiencing this mystery almost backwards, in figuring out what happened hundreds of years ago only through fractured memories, while still experiencing a thrilling present day plot!
Morgan and Cassius are also such great characters, and the chemistry and sex is freaking steamy af… and the AUDIO… omg. I’ve listened to enough audiobooks that I usually don’t feel too hot under the collar during sex scenes - but Alex kydd’s narration 100% made me flush SEVERAL times! So stoked to keep going with this exciting series!

The Pillar of a Great Trilogy!
Revisado: 10-23-22
Sometimes you come across a book or series of books that just absolutely leave you stunned and speechless, when you try to consider just HOW MUCH happens and how intricately a story is being woven together. Well, damn if this is just that book and series!
Holy crap. This book deserves way more than just the 5 stars I can give it. I am floored by the fact that this is just the first 3 of 9 total books - and if this much has happened in these few books then I can’t even begin to imagine what depths the author is going to take us too in the future.
So much happened and was revealed here, that there really isn’t anyway I could hope to recount all the ways this story was nothing short of phenomenal. Per usual, Rune, Adam and Brand are my favorite trio, and the way that their love is starting to become more shared is just nothing short of the most perfect combination or the ideal platonic and romantic relationship triangle that I could only hope to get from a story like this. We have Addam that is so clearly in love with Rune for who he is and is willing to do anything for him, and then we have Brand who would literally serve as his shield if he had to because of their bond. AND not to give anything away, but I saw sparks of “something” in all this relationship that I really, really hope is what I think it is!
I loved that we got the time between Addam and Rune alone in this book that served as a great way to bring these two together even closer than before. My one and ONLY quirk with them is that other than that brief scene in book 1 we’ve saw nothing of their intimate relationship other than passing mentions of kissing or cuddling. This is totally able to be overlooked though because their relationship feels SO authentic and romantic that it renders the intimacy in the story pointless. Although, I also can’t help but wonder if maybe they haven’t been intimate? Especially since I’m book 2 Rune confessed he wasn’t all that comfortable with that yet because of his trauma. I’m not sure. But I really do hope we get something in the coming books that’s maybe a smidge steamier.
Either way, nothing will keep me from reading every book in this series as they are released. I am SO mad that idk when that will be, but either way I am so stoked to see what happens next!

The Tarot Sequence imagines a modern-day Atlantis off the coast of Massachusetts, governed by powerful Courts based on the traditional Tarot deck. The PERFECT Romantic Fantasy
Revisado: 10-23-22
Damn. I couldn’t put this book down! I love reading, especially MM romance, but even more so when there are other plot lines that seamlessly pull a story forward without feeling pushed or rushed. THIS series and author know how to do that, and know how to do it so very well!
I love the plot and path this book took. I love even more that it picks up threads form book 1 so easily it feels very much like they are actually the same book. It’s a much darker book in some ways than book 1 but it also is so deeply heartfelt that it isn’t too heavy of a read.
More than anything, I loved the character and relationship developments this book offered us. Again like I mentioned in The Last Sun, Addam, Rune, Brand, Cerian and others are just some of the most well written characters. I can actually sense the love and respect Addam has for Rune. I find my self laughing out loud at the banter and can so clearly visualize the deadpan looks Brand gives Rune. I can feel so deeply Runes mixed emotions about everyone and everything. God this book was just beautiful.
I am already starting book 3, but I’m already so angry knowing that while yes I will have finished the first third of the series after this - it’ll probably be years before I get another book and that frustrates me so much! But that just makes me excited to know that I’ll probably be reading these again before the next one comes out!
Also - this narration is KILLER! For Josh Hurley’s narration alone this series deserves 1,000,000 stars

A Perfect Blend of Romance, Fantasy & Mystery
Revisado: 10-23-22
Just speechless. Ugh, the way that this book just consumed me!
There is just TOO much to gush and rave about here that i know I’ll never do it justice. First of all, this story is very complex - especially in the early couple of chapters but it has to be to setup the world and story line for the trilogy. Even so, its so easy to immediately get swept away by the story, action, characters and pure intrigue created here.
I loved Rune, Addam, Brand, Max, Cerian… everyone! But I especially love the banter and dialogue between Rune, Addam and Brand. God, I laughed out louddddd so many times here. I love that we not only have the simmering build up between Rune and Addam but also a very, VERY clear bond and love between Rune and Brand. It’s refreshing having a very solid platonic MM relationship that isn’t just weighted down by toxic masc vibes that I feel like are often provided in these types of stories.
I am so excited for this series. Rune is so complex and I just see that we are only seeing the surface with him! This book will certainly cycle you through the emotions, especially when you least expect it. And the shock during that ending scene in the cathedral had my jaw on the floor!!!
