Not just a story but a journey
Revisado: 01-01-19
the way the story was told and the added interviews and investigations wove a tapestry that presents not only Mark Twain but Samuel Clemens. in all of my years of listening to audible books this is the most intriguing and fantastic journey I have ever been on. I could listen to this book again and again and I know I will pick up different nuances and storylines each time.

Historia
When the first explosion occurs in broad daylight, reducing a city bus to a pile of molten, shrapnel-riddled metal, officials fear terrorism. Rhyme, a world-class forensic criminologist known for his successful apprehension of the most devious criminals, is immediately tapped for the investigation. Long a quadriplegic, he assembles NYPD detective Amelia Sachs and officer Ron Pulaski as his eyes, ears and legs on crime sites, and FBI agent Fred Dellray as his undercover man on the street.

True review
Revisado: 11-04-15
I know reviews are strictly opinion but the reviews I read about this book are so far from reality I had to write more. I listened to the abridged version and was extremely pleased with the reader and the story. Yes Lincoln rhyme was very snarky in this book but he was also a sick man that was contemplating making a change. Amelia was in the book just as often as she always is so I'm not sure what readers thought she was absent. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and prefer the reader of the abridged version.

If you like David Sedaris you will love this one!!
Revisado: 07-27-08
The story was funny, enjoyable, interesting, and funny. Several times I laughed out loud. The story is written in a Sedaris like manner. Although no one can tell a story like Sedaris, but Acito is very close. Try it you will like it. My only disappointment is I could not find anything else Acito. He needs to write more!!
