Performance was well. but the narrator does not do well distinguishing between puppy's thoughts and her actually dialogue.

the story for this 2nd book is extremely drawn out. it became boring and a lot of details about the world. the writing can be at times, beautiful. but the chapters are so drawn out and poppy does this fickle thing between Cas and her. Tons of questions but when it comes to something important there's a deflect and she does this often.

Story was amazing. The first book of the series is still my favorite. However the plot and twist on this story were wonderful and whimsical. Definitely a reverse Cinderella story.

Performance was okay. Reader was able to use different distinct voices per character. But it was hard to decipher what was read as a thought versus what was said.

Mind blown. How does Ja Huss do it?

Ja Huss is amazing. I've read a few of her novels and I am absolutely mind blown. I mean, it is a great romance novel but the story plot is so complex. She has the ability to interweave series and create characters that are all unique and different. Nothing is vanilla, ritualistic or ever the same with Ja Huss. The only consistent thing she does, is write amazing stories. I mean, where does someone make this up??

This book left me with wanting more. I wish I could listen and know more about the complex characters from this book and I'm kind of bummed it's over. I just added the next 3 books to my wishlist of the bossy Brothers. I'm not sure if anyone can top this book though.

I loved the story line. Tons of question leaving the reader wanting more. Very poetically written and performed perfectly. I am throughly impressed.

no sequel?

I loved this story. It kept me wondering about who or what was going on. But I thought there was tons of character archs that just seemed unfinished, like loose ends.
I wish there was a sequel. The author definetly set the ending up for one but upon further research, this book is intended as a stand alone. Which even though I'd love to hear more about the Darly and Addy story-- I can't see how much more the author could do without ruining Addy's character arch. But then again, I'm no writer! So, in conclusion, gimmie more!

Nice story, but I feel like it was to drawn out and some parts Boring. I also thinm there was a disconnect in characters between killion and percila. Like their personalities were different when it came from one or the eithers perspective.

nice story but not the best. a fraction of time spent on recap and a speedy dramatize battle near the end. not much character development in any of the main characters either.
