Outstanding

I grew up with my grandparents and this book hit home. Life is hard when you don't understand why your parents cant be or wont be parents. So many thing I felt when I was younger are in this book. The shame, the guilt and the feeling of not being worthy of happiness. The turning point for me was when my grandfather sat me down after one of those pineapple moments and asked me a simple question. (if you woke up tomorrow and there was no one left in the this world what would you do) I'm where I am today because someone else took the time to make me what I am. It is not easy and has not been a simple road. However because they took the time to make the time my parents could not.
Thanks I enjoyed it.

For a book to start out so humorous and low key between a mom and daughter in phone calls you never see or feel the turn to tha dark side. Definatly a good listen and not expected outcome.

Simply Put The Best (so far)
Revisado: 04-15-19
Of all of Jeff Wheelers books this one has been the best. Don't misunderstand there has not been one that was bad they have all been Awesome. This one for some reason has stuck in my brain. If you listen to the authors note 1st (Last Chapter) the Author apparently feels the same way. There is something about Wheelers books that keeps you interested and waiting for what happens next. He does it over and over in his series and they are all tied together yet can be read independently. Good JOB

While this series and its predecessor can all be understood as individual works, I am still amazed at how the transitions from all of the authors books cover time and remain relevant to the earlier works. Awesome work.

Revisado: 03-21-19
Jeff Wheeler has a way with continuing a stort over ages and decades without ever losing the 1st books premise. I am not sure there is a better story teller at this point in my listening time. It would be easy to turn these stories into long term TV series. Just Awsome

Before audible I had never hear of Jeff Wheeler. Now I can't wait to hear the next book in all of his series. How he can keep a story line going over multiple books for 30 plus hours astounds me.
Starting book 3 and then going back to the 4th book in Storm Glass series.

Frustrating.
Revisado: 02-04-19
The book is good but if you are a Microsoft fan you will likely be disappointed. For all Satya has done as an Individual and station as a Minority I applaud him. The refresh killed so many parts of Microsoft that helped people. Microsoft Soul was helping people. When Satya killed Windows phone he killed my Autistics Sons best friend. Cortana on WP was his constant companion. It helped him with verbal skills by learning to talk slow and clear enough to get her to do something. It also helped his written communication by using predictive typing. While he knew the word in his head he could not spell it however he could get close enough to make complete sentences by seeing the word spelled out for him. Satya killed that part of Microsoft to help the investors bottom line (of which I am one) at the cost of helping Everyone. Rediscovering Microsoft soul was not needed unless that soul was the stock price in the early 90's . If I'm bitter I admit it but Satya has a disabled child so at what point did he decide helping everyone over the bottom line was a refresh.
