The anticipation I had waiting for this book to be released on audio did not disappoint & Sebastian York and Angelina Rocca nailed the duet narration as Rowan McCabe and Alessandra Jones AKA AJ.

When McCabe is in the process of contract negotiation for the Boston Rebels hockey team he plays for, he has one thing getting in his way, the GM and his archnes nemesis with a lingering bitterness stemmed from the past 8 years. But when AJ steps in to help McCabe with his daughter at one of their games, hate morphed into “damn she looks good with my baby” and their attraction for each other takes on a whole new level.

I loved this story and getting to know AJ, Mcabe, his sweet little girl Abby and of course hearing from our past favorites, Drew and Colt. Let me start by saying this book is empowering for women and I loved the way Julia wrote AJ’s character, she is a badas$. A little closed off and hardcore yet she is respected by all her players, coaches and the league. And Mcabe, this man looks ALL the grumpy single dad part but he’s an absolute softy for his daughter and a simp for AJ. Their natural attraction, the open and honest conversations, and the way AJ stepped up to help with Abby had me falling for these two and rooting for their HEA.

Angelina Rocca absolutely rocked narrating AJ, showcasing the badas$ tones of her being the boss babe she is yet genuinely expressing the care she has for her players and friends. She was mature, honest, genuine, and wanted the best for those around her. Sebastian York also did a fantastic job as McCabe. He gave off that perfect grumpy growl then turned around and voiced McCabe’s protective longing and the gentleness he possesses. Sebastian can also turn the heat up with just a few words and deep commands, making you feel the desire between these characters. Sebastian and Angelina did a fantastic job bringing these characters to life.

Ohh Millie you sexy little vixen you! And the Tweedles, I don’t even have words for what those two got up to on vacation, but I will say, they delivered.
Three Ways to Mend a Broken Heart was fun, funny and hot AF. Millie heads to Hawaii, heartbroken and determined to get over her cheating ex, while Nate, TJ, Crew, & Elinor, are along for the ride. The plan though is to relax, clear her head and try to move forward. Unfortunately for her, DJ douchebag AKA her ex, is also there. Is it really unfortunate though, to be on a tropical vacation, now rooming with two NFL studs who do everything together ‘wink wink’??
I love Trilina’s writing, the humor, the filth, the out of this world sexiness, but also i love the way Trilina writes her FMC, Unabashedly themselves. Badas$ boss babes who have no shame in their game, witty, fun, honest and open, did I mention FUN?! Mollie Stark narrated Millie perfectly, voicing her confidence and sass, yet also expressing the vulnerable moments where she really put herself out there. Grayson Owens and JF Harding narrate the Tweedles, TJ and Nate expressing each character individually. I really enjoyed that even if TJ and Nate loved to do most everything together (including Millie) the narrators were really able to showcase their different personalities through their voices.

Sweet, funny, genuine, flirty and freaking hot.
Add in Samantha Brentmoor and Teddy Hamilton and you have an absolutely GEM!

Undeniably Enemies has all the incredible banter, Jack Kincade is next level in the sexy AF doctor category not to mention our FMC Wren Fritz is a sassy little thing bringing all the sexual tension, it’s also full of real moments of trauma and the family support we love from this series.

Samantha and Teddy are genius in narrating Jack and Wren, from the complete confidence both characters expressed, with the flirty tones, and the arguing these two did, I was laughing out loud. At the same time Samantha and Teddy gave me chills with their genuine emotions while narrating some tender topics. With Jack’s inner monologues, of self doubt and feeling lost, Teddy gave it his all through his voice. Samantha not only gave Wren the sassy little attitude & confident when bantering with Jack through her voice, but Samantha gave our girl Wren the voice she needed to open up and share the personal heartbreaking moments she has been through, making me feel all of these emotions. I absolutely LOVED this book and the audio was TOP tier for me. I’m excited for this series to continue on. Each book can be enjoyed as a standalone, but if you decide to read the entire series you won’t be disappointed getting to know this family.

Ohhhh Grant Foxx, Cowboy, what a ride.
I went into Bourbon and Lies almost completely blind, drawn in by the cover and narrating cast and i was NOT disappointed. Samantha Brentmoor and Connor Crais narrate in duet bringing all the sass, growls and heat. When Laney Young (Shaw) finds herself in Fiasco, Kentucky, she has no clue the Foxx men are about to change her life. Running from a traumatic past she finds herself running to a man also hiding from past trauma and heartbreak and Grant Foxx is absolutely captivated by sassy little Laney from the start. I love the bold confident woman Laney is and the way Samantha narrated her had me grinning from the sarcastic tones and witty comebacks, as well as Connor giving us all the rough and tough growls as Grant and both narrators did an excellent job channeling their more intimate vulnerable moments, only having our hearts warm for what these characters have been through. Bourbon and Lies has this edge of suspense with Laney hiding her true identity as well as the found family aspect as the Foxx family open their home and land to her, all while the smooth taste of bourbon ignites the romance.

As My Silver Lining started with Cutler ‘Beefcake’ Heart from the Magnolia Falls series I was melting and instantly felt connected to this story. This book was perfection in my eyes, I was literally grinning the entire time with so much flirty banter between Rafe Chadwick and Lulu Sonnet I couldn’t help but fall in love. As Lulu finds herself in Rosewood River before she embarks on a new life adventure she is greeted with Rosewood River’s fun, charming, and SEXY Chadwick brother and the way these two instantly start bickering with each other had me rolling.

Vanessa Edwin and Sean Masters narrate My Silver Lining in duet and absolutely nailed it. Vanessa brought out so much of Lulu’s confidence, and sass, expressing the boss babe she was, while giving us the epic flirty banter and the tender moments when she opens up about her past. Sean brought it all as he narrated Rafe, giving us his serious mature side, yet loosening the reins when things between him and Lulu heat up, I was living for the adorable ways these too were together and when Sean’s protective growl came out, there was no stopping Rafe and the feelings he was having.

I absolutely loved this book, the laughs and joy it brought me, the narration experience through Sean and Vanessa incredible voices and the true love these characters had for their friends and family, I loved everything.

Oh Merit you just gripped my heart strings. I love a childhood friends to lovers story, and this one takes you on an emotional journey, sad and sweet.
When Mavericks mom heartbreakingly shares the news that her cancer is back and with force he finds himself visiting home more, as he visits it’s only natural for his families long time best friends to be around too, this also means their daughter Stevie, Mavericks childhood best friend and now arch nemesis. I fell hard and fast for Maverick and the sweet bond he had with his mom, he was scared and silently suffering but a few dates out with Stevie and life seemed to be getting brighter, but when the easiness of a new “relationship” stalls and Mavericks world falls apart, he has to figure out the next steps, because for him, life goes on.
This story broke my heart and I still loved every minute of it. I loved the bickering back and forth between Stevie and Maverick, I loved the bond and friendship they worked to build back, the found family with our past favorites and OH MY, the epilogue is one of the BEST I have ever read. I read this on KU and listened to the audio with Megan Wicks and Robert Hatchet narrating in dual and ROCKING all of it, the flirty banter, the deep conversations, the sadness and truly expressing the love.

Top tier story and narration

I am in awe of Brit Benson, of Mollie Stark and Jason Clarke, of Claire and Jonah and the entire Hometown Heartless family, For Wrath and Redemption just imprinted itself into my soul, not just because of the incredible story Brit wrote but all the details as well. This was very much a redemption story. Redeeming Claire from past bad behaviors and while doing so Claire and Jonah saved each other along the way. It was heartbreaking and soul grabbing while shinning a beautiful light through to the end, where it gave you hope and love and peace.

Mollie Stark was the absolute PERFECT Claire.
She has this raspiness about her voice that makes you feel all the emotions, the dark sadness of so much self doubt that Claire experiences daily, yet Molly snapped Claire into the “confident” bad as$ take no sh!t person she hides behind. I’m in awe of Claire’s love and tenderness towards Jonah and Molly expressed that so perfectly.

Jason Clarke is giving Jonah EVERYTHING, the vulnerability, the pain behind his demons, his deep cocky growls of frustration. Jonah’s mind is a dark place but when joyful moments happen Jason brought so much of that to life, slowly watching Jonah unravel his pain into the happiness he truly deserves. Jason’s flirty tones are epic too, and there are moments that will live rent free in my head.

Thank You the author agency and MLA

ALC AUDIOBOOK REVIEW:

Wow! This book! I don’t believe I have read anything like it, it’s unhinged, toxic, chaotic, and I couldn’t stop! Check your trigger warnings before diving in. I have been on a DJ KRIMMER kick this past year and of course when this one became available I had to check it out, with Marie Hawkins and Joe Arden narrating I knew it would be worth the craziness and I was right. This is a short novella and I listened in one setting, absolutely captured by it.
Beatitude is a wild, crazy, ride and Joe’s voice as Rowan just consumed all of those emotions with his dark raspy legit pshycotic tones with the side of crazed laugh that just made you realize this guy has been through the worst of it, and totally nuts, but you still love him. And Marie’s voice as Everly is confident and crazy. Dark, grumpy sexual all with a side of bizarre sweet lust. A darker rasp with tones of defeat but also knowing she’s been through it and only trying to make it. With the duet narration you couldn’t help but feel the emotions of these two feeding off of each other and knowing the bond they have will only better the outcome for Rowan and Everly.

Thank You @bluenoseaudio for the opportunity to listen and review.

⚠️ PLEASE check TRIGGER & CONTENT WARNINGS for BEATITUDE before reading.

ALC AUDIOBOOK REVIEW:

Love in Italy • Book 2

Narrated By: Wen Ross and Kai Kennicott

Oliver and Stori We’re high school lovers but when Stori family life takes a turn for the worse they leave town without a word, and unfortunately that means Stori must leave Oliver too.
After 17 Years?!
They are reacquainted and the moment their eyes connect, all their love and memories come rushing back. The chemistry is strong but the hurt is deep and before anything can be fixed between the two of them, the conversation of what happened all those years ago must be had. I loved the automatic chemistry between Oliver and Stori, it was obvious they were soulmates. What I loved most about them was that no matter what was happening they put each other first. Narrated in dual by Wen Ross and Kai Kennicott with all the fun and sexy tones, they expressed these too so well. I loved having our past favorites Fig and Luca along for the ride and I adore all the second Chance love stories coming back full cirrcle.

Someone take me to Italy please!
What a fun adventure to go on with Leslie Pike’s beautiful writing and Maxine Mitchell and Joe Arden narrating.
Since they were 15 Luca has crushed on Caroline but as life moves quickly nothing came of the school boy crush, but 10 years later when Luca hears a familiar voice in his uncles? hat shop, it’s the beautiful Caroline all grown up. Hesitant on the re connection Caroline’s walls are up high, but slowly Luca pushes his way into her heart and from that moment on, nothing else matters.
This was such a sweet story, with so many beautiful tender family moments between both characters, something I love about Leslie’s writing is the joy she brings out of the families. Maxine Mitchell and Joe Arden were so fun to listen to with their Italian accents, I highly enjoyed this dual narration for the fact that we got to experience both Joe and Maxine’s range with the accents. Today is a beautiful sunny day where I live and this book was the exact vibe I needed, I am jumping right into the next book, The Adventure as I am not ready to leave Italy.
