Historia
I broke the rules and fell in love with my best friend. Newsflash. He didn’t feel the same. I had to stand by and watch him fall for someone else. Moving on hasn’t been easy since we all live and work on the same high country sheep station, but I’m finally getting there. I’m building a new life, a new set of dreams, planning a different future, just me and my dogs. The last thing I need is Luke Nichols, the sexy, enigmatic, ex-husband of my nemesis, filling my head with a laundry list of cravings. Talk about complicated.

Great story
Revisado: 10-02-24
This series is one pf my favorite’s and this book did not disappoint. Gary Furlong is a great narrator who makes the characters come alive and add another dimension to the story.
Ja Hogan is an amazing author who writes gripping stories with just a tiny bit of angst which she balances well with the funnier shenanigans the characters come up with in this book
I would highly recommend to listen (or read) The Art of Husbandry (which is just as exquisite as this book) before listening to this one since it is sort of a sequel to TAOH. It can be listened to as a standalone but you will get much more out of this book.
The Mechanics of Lust is about 2 broken souls starting to heal and finding love again but it also deals with unaccepting parents and loss of a child (happened previously but the grief is a part of the story).
Jay describes the MC’s issues beautifully with a lot of grace and understanding.
I can highly recommend this book!

Historia
Most of the guys on Palm Island call me the token straight guy. The truth is, I'm not so much straight as I'm just… nothing. Asexual, demi, the label doesn't make much of a difference to me. And living on an island that's nothing but parties and nudity half the year… well, let's put it this way… I'm the guy who sells clothes.

All we ever wanted for Easy and Lux!
Revisado: 08-08-24
I can’t say enough how much I love this book, I’ve listened to it multiple times!
Easy is as it sounds, easy. Lux is his asexual best friend. They’ve been best friends since early childhood and they moved to Palm Island together. Easy has been in love since his early teens, Lux loves Easy but he has never felt any interest in anyone, ever.
Easy figures he just has to keep living with Lux, It’s better to live with his best friend, having him close than risking losing him. He’ll just get sex from other guys.
But one night a switch flips in Lux’ head and he can’t stop thinking about Easy, in a way he has never done before.
This is the most beautiful love story about two beat friends, of course there are some spicy scenes between them as well and a lot of funny scenes like you’d expect from the Palm Island guys.
This book could perhaps be read as a standalone but then you’d miss the slow burn of these two from the other books. All the other guys from previous books also show up here so I’d recommend listening to (or reading) them first. This is absolutely one of KM Neuhol’s best books.
