Historia
Legendary bush pilot Josie Jonson can’t believe her luck when a skilled builder just happens to show up after she purchases land near Prentiss Pond. All Mark Redmond asks in return for building Josie’s dream cabin is that he be left alone to homeschool his 12-year-old daughter, Cady. For Maine game warden investigator Mike Bowditch, the intensity of Redmond's secretiveness is troubling, especially in light of suspicious criminal activity being reported around the area―including rumors of an armed man offering large sums of money in exchange for the location of Redmond and Cady.

Has some twists
Revisado: 02-28-25
This entry into the series is one of my favorite in quite a while. It had a few twists and turns that kept me guessing throughout. The characters were multidimensional, one moment making you feel dislike, the next sympathy and understanding. There were also a couple of nuggets at the end that keep you hanging and leave you wondering what may happen in the next book.

Good, but a little over the top
Revisado: 02-02-25
Good story along with the rest of the series to this point, but you have to suspend belief a bit to get through this one. The “victim” somehow becomes a mastermind criminal by simply reading a book after having no criminal record before. the story was fast-paced, and the characters were well developed. but you have to believe that the anti-hero was able to become an expert Bank robber, had the ability to fake her own death, and was able to fool multiple local law-enforcement agencies as well as the FBI by simply reading a how to manual written by a published criminal. after a while, I had trouble finding sympathy for this person, despite her backstory. it was a good book, it was just a little hard to swallow.

Story had both good pacing and action. Kind of left things hanging towards the end. i’m hoping we don’t have to wait quite so long for the next addition of this series. this has become one of my favorite over the past few years.

Resurrection walk
Revisado: 03-11-24
Michael Connolly keeps getting better with each book. I could hardly stop listening, only when I had to. The plot, story, characters, narration, it all draws you in. You can see certain things coming, but there are twists and turns that shift the story into areas where you may not be thinking it would go. Can’t wait for the next book.

Historia
A blood-thirsty being is on the rise, resurrecting Old West outlaws. But who is this El Diablo? All evidence points to an eccentric billionaire whose estate lies just outside our jurisdictional reach. Worse, an old-school sheriff seems determined to keep it that way. As menaces teeter into full-blown madness, I’m counting on James to ramp up his smarts and spell-casting. Success will mean the end of the Croft and Wesson era, but failure could condemn all of Grimstone to a hellish oblivion.

Croft Wesson
Revisado: 02-18-24
I have to say that I like the Croft Wesson series just as much as the Prof Croft series, if not a little more. Too bad this is the final entry. It would be good if they could have some more adventures together. I thought this was the best one in the series, just wish that all of them were a little bit longer. Love the different characters and the setting. Who knows, maybe the author who will give us some more.

Los Angeles is a city of stark contrast, the palaces of the affluent coexisting uneasily with the hellholes of the mad and the needy. That shadow world and the violence it breeds draw brilliant psychologist Dr. Alex Delaware and Detective Milo Sturgis into an unsettling case of altruism gone wrong.

I’ve always enjoyed the Alex Delaware series. I’m probably a bigger fan of his earlier works then what he’s released in the recent past. though I would have to say I enjoy this entry much more than anything in the past 10 years.

Great entry in the series. Love David Chandler’s narration. a lot of great action in this book. I also liked how the book jumped back-and-forth between perspectives of different character’s, as well as the different plots being followed throughout the story.
