Great story. Great narration

I've become a great fan of M K Eidem and this book didn't disappoint. The story tells of a young woman and her 10yr old niece who have to come to terms with the loss of their entire family and whole planet. How they form a new life and bring a long term traitor to justice.

They have several narrators doing the story but it really works. Can't wait for the next one.

You get hooked from beginning to end. The sexy bits are sexy - you have been warned! But the sad bits like Toby's funeral had me openly weeping. Have got the other wolf ones now, and will probably back track and get the vamp ones too.

Wicked - when's the next one???

Great story involving previously murdered women brought back as a Nordic hit squad. When a former Marine used to discipline winds up with a group of totally undisciplined females, she finds it more than unnerving. Then there's the killing for reasons she can't fathom - it's all too much! To top it off she finds out her dog now has wings and a metal muzzle. There is also a trip to Valhalla, a quiet Viking, finding Freya's lost necklace whilst trying to stop an ancient evil from causing havoc.


Yet another great story from Shelley Laurenston and an awesome narrator who throws in the right amount of sarcasm and whining when required. Can't wait for book 2.

Awesome first book - can you do the rest?

I read this on kindle and it was awesome, I went on to get more in the series, but there are about 14 now.

The audio version is even better than the book. The narrator was amazing, and I hope Audible will use her for more books in the series. I can't wait for more books. The storyline was different from the norm with a Sci fi flavour rather than fantasy. Not for the faint hearted as Baird gets rather graphic, but hey he is a Beast Kindred and they are not known for their delicacy. At the end of the book it's clear that Sylvan is in line for a shake up.

Got t love Dee and Rick

Each book gets better an better, Charlotte Kane brings the characters to life like no other. Her narration is awsome awsome awsome! The story is so funny in places - Loch dragging lions about, said lions whining about being 'hungry'. To touching when Des's cub was threatened, and then there was the remarkable Hannah - who knew.

I'm glad audible gives a sample because the latest short stories by Shelley Laurenston are too horrible for words. Especially since Charlotte has already introduced us to Van and Irene, Eggy and Miss Darla. The 4* reviews are for the book which is seriously misleading - why are they there anyway when you want the audio reviews???? The stories sound like they are being read by the dead! Flat and lifeless don't waste your credits. I listened to the samples as I said and realised why Eggy and Dee say "time to start the killing"

Amazing New Series - You Have To Try It!!

Read the books and knew they would be awesome on audio - and I wasn't disappointed. I never enjoyed Lora Leigh because all the women had to be 'dominated'. But these big strong sensitive characters are so different. The New Species women are great - blunt and funny. The testing facility was unreal and the 'gifts' were heart breaking. Can't wait for more - keep them coming.

The Best So Far

I loved these shifter stories but this one is my favorite. After being found in a cage, then liberated Tiger nearly ends up losing it all. The other shifters were all too willing to end his life or force him back into a lab. And a corrupt millitary officer wanted to use him as a weapon, breed from him then disect him. But his acts of heroism, his mate and help from the least expected source, in the form of another soldier originally out to hunt him, kept him free and put an end to treachery. He had his happy ending with a good mate and a cub on the way. It was a great story. I wonder if the next story will come in the form of a certain female bear and Tiger's soldier friend??? I wasn't a fan of Chris Dukehart's narrations because her accents weren't all that, but they have really improved.

More, more, more!

I nearly didn't get this book mainly because the offerings from her alter ego G A Aitken were horribly narrated, and got on my last nerve by the end of the first chapter! But this is seriously good - Dez is something else. A woman you don't mess with. Mace is Mace and all laid back Lion. And I just love Smitty and Sissy Mae, and I can't wait to meet the rest of the Smiths, and the Van Holtz, the African Wild Dogs, the hockey team and Bears plus the other odd animals and the few humans who get caught up in the mayhem. The characters are quirky and crazy just as I imagined they would be. Charlotte Kane narrates the story so well - you can tell who is who , and the accents are great. I love the way Dez keeps losing hers - lol. I'm only part way through and am getting ready for Charlotte to do the next ones in the series. If the rest turn out as well as this they will be awesome.

These Books Keep Getting Better

Poppy and Win what a pair. The epitomy of a proper cultured Victorian couple with secret lives - and when it blows up, fireworks or should I say snowstorms. Poppy won't let anything stop her - even pregnancy. Win nearly pulls his hair out because of it. The trick to thwart the demon was inspired. It was great to see the sister's and their respective husbands come together, burying old hurts and form a support system. Book 4 is Talent's story, I hope there are more - possibly for the sister's lost brother. Moira Quirk was fantastic as usual she really brings the era to life.

A great book - what an amazing story between the lively Daisy and the tormented Ian. It nearly had me in tears when Ian thought Daisy was dead. Poor thing. The introduction of the gimps was another new species with interesting possibilities. I love Kristen Calihan's storylines with all its twists and turns. I'm getting into the historical stuff. Moira quirk didn't dissapoint and actually did an awsome Scottish accent - not the usual horrible attempts from some narrators, that are like nails on a chalkboard to my Scottish ancestry. I can't wait for book 3. I will definitely relisten to this series.
