Historia
Lord Fulgrim – ascended Primarch of the III Legion, the Perfect Son, the Emperor-in-Waiting – has issued a challenge to his scattered warriors: vanquish the Imperial world of Crucible, and bring him the head of the Black Templar charged with its defence. But Fulgrim’s plans go far beyond the conquest of a single planet, and what should have been a swift and bloody offensive turns into a gruelling siege. With success uncertain, a world in flames around them, and the Legion turning their weapons inwards as well as out, the would-be champions are forced to confront a bitter truth.

It's just fine, not enough of the titular character.
Revisado: 05-08-25
This handles well. fulgrim, black templars, emperor children, P.D.F., Demons, and cultist. The Guard are strange, the chaff are stronger, the kaserkin are weaker, no male characters have rank above foot solider. The mechanicus are barely in this.
The end was grimdark enough but so unsatisfying

A good character piece
Revisado: 12-23-24
Overall good character piece, Eldar lore is always refreshing, it ends is rushed, Characters suffer no consequences, the mc priorities change without reason. I won't complain any more because any Eldar books are win.

Solid book with no real issues
Revisado: 12-07-24
Everything is solid, I would have liked to spend more time against the istvaan natives. There is one off screen kill that hurt. Aside from that a good book

Excellent Characters, Excellent Performance, Disgusting Ending
Revisado: 10-11-24
Every character was good, the V.A. was immaculate, the general premise is intresting, but the ending was handled so poorly. The M.C. just changes on a dime and suffers no real consequences for anything done prior.

An aggressively average book
Revisado: 10-02-24
This book is an aggressively average entry to the dawn of fire series. It has no major issues, and no major wins. When it does something cool it doesn't go far or just backpeddles.
This is all hands on deck for Main Characters from the series, but the avengers assemble moment is slow to come
It relies heavily on the reading of the other books, and introduces the returning characters terribly
The character reunions are unfruitful or unsatisfying
The Leagues are used which I really appreciate but they are underwhelming, the kahl is unremarkable, the elite guard/fighters are shown as bumbling, and the worst part is we're told how cool they are but never shown doing anything great
The Sisters of Silence are here which again I love, lack majesty, and are really petty. Except for our main sos which is good.
All of the major deaths are so unsatisfying
There is a strange pattern where male characters with good personality always die
There are two characters who get a well deserved boost but that whole part is relegated to the next book
I like where the story went but I couldn't have fun while going through it.

Great setting but the main character is strange
Revisado: 07-24-24
Loved the setting and most of the story, the only issues are how the legacy characters are handled and the main character polarizing. She slide between utterly amazing and extremely vexing. Sometimes she is handled so well but other times she's petulant, holier-than-thou, and hypocritical. Notably there are never any consequences to her actions, which is so strange because other characters get punishment for things they do in this book.

A war-weary Battle Group Praxis arrives at the Knight world of Kamidar, ruled by the Iron Queen Orlah, to return the queen's slain daughter and heir, who died in Guilliman's name. a good look at how a world sees a random tithe enactment, it's tragic because the powers that be had no chill and caused a pointless war, it's a good book but but not great
