Historia
This is the original 1927 story of The Tower Treasure: The Hardy Boys Book 1. Frank and Joe Hardy, brothers who are high school students, use their investigation skills to solve the mystery of the stolen treasure from the eccentric Applegates. After finally finding out who did it, the dying criminal confesses that the loot had been hidden “in the old tower.” The tower is searched in vain, but it remained for the Hardy boys to make an astonishing discovery that cleared up the mystery.

Love the story. So glad they made audiobooks of the original text. Just really disappointed in the narrator. Did not like his voice at all.

Historia
When Barry Fairweather dies unexpectedly in his early 40s, the little town of Pagford is left in shock. Pagford is, seemingly, an English idyll, with a cobbled market square and an ancient abbey, but what lies behind the pretty façade is a town at war. Rich at war with poor, teenagers at war with their parents, wives at war with their husbands, teachers at war with their pupils.... Pagford is not what it at first seems. And the empty seat left by Barry on the town's council soon becomes the catalyst for the biggest war the town has yet seen.

Didn’t like
Revisado: 09-20-19
I didn’t like this book. LOTS of swearing and sex. The story itself wasn’t terribly interesting. I listened to her Strike series and every book was good so I thought this one would be similar. It wasn’t. At all.

Disappointing 🙁
Revisado: 06-12-17
This book was very disappointing. The ware wolf theme was very uninteresting, like I've heard it all before. So far I've listened to The Third Gate and The Forgotten Room in this series. I totally loved The Third Gate, was a little disappointed with The Forgotten Room but it is still a whole lot better than Full Wolf Moon. I didn't feel that it was quite as well put together as the others. It kind of felt rushed and a lot shorter than the others.

The young detectives soon discover that they are involved in a mystery far greater in scope than just retrieving the invention.

Could be better
Revisado: 12-19-15
I'm not even five minutes into this audio book and I cannot stop laughing at the narrators voices. The boys sound like young children, and the overall tone sounds like he's narrating a Hardy Boys Secret Files book. Bill Irwin was much better.

No ghosts :(
Revisado: 08-28-15
I had hoped that this book would be similar to The Third Gate. I was really getting into it but was disappointed that it didn't have a supernatural plot like The Third Gate and went more like a regular mystery novel. Not too disappointed, the book was still interesting and I will listen to it again.
