Historia
The [System] was intended to be humanity’s salvation. But it turned out to be a double-edged sword that could just as easily lead to its destruction. Following a series of thankfully successful efforts in Europe, Isaac travels overseas to show the world new ways of leveling, gather new allies, and gain power in the dungeons that have cropped up.

Love this series so far.
Revisado: 05-17-23
I will start by saying my only real comics that occasionally the authors tone feels a little flat
Other than that though I have no complaints, the author does a wonderful time keeping the story interesting without making it non stop action which is the mistake slog of Gamelite stories fall into.
Thus while the MC is powerful and grows stronger quickly it’s not a non stop power creep where the opponents are constantly being given crazy power ups to match the MC.
I see way too many stories that involve cultivation or power progression think they have to make each opponent have the power to force the MC to barely survive before getting some power up.
It’s nice to see a story where they understand that sometimes Quantity has a quality of its own. I mean the risk of a wave of low level creatures can be worse than one high level monstrosity.

Full in depth Stat pages should be only at the end of a chapter or their own chapters entirely.
Revisado: 04-17-23
I can’t stress enough just how annoying it is to have a random 5 minute detailed stat of eve read out when there was no real changes.
I just think it’s crazy to not just make stat pegs be their own chapter so you can either skip it or listen to it if you like. Instead I just have to either listen to non stop numbers for awhile trying not to zone out too much or keep pressing the 30 second skip button till the story returns.
Honestly I’m pretty sure that there is at least an hour worth of nothing but stat tables in each book from this point on. That is at a minimum, I know that might not sound too bad but it’s just frustrating when I am doing something and want to listen to a good book to help distract me but end up listening to a long segment of nothing but filler stat details.
My only other complaint is in regards to the reason I had stopped following this story in the past before coming back to give it another chance. It just became the Mal and Dave science hour and stopped being an action packed detail.
I love all the crafting Dave does don’t get me wrong but it just goes way to in depth into the pseudo science Dave and Mal are using to make stuff. Again I know that it sounds odd to say I love the crafting but hate how much they talked about it. So let me try and explain it to anyone curious about starting this.
They will spend whole chapters detailing in excessive detail WHY the magic and science they used to make something works. This is a story where dragons and wizards are walking around and aliens are a known entity. In no way do we need to spend so much time to make something like an advanced crafting seem plausible. Just seems that broad strokes would have worked better than entire chapters with details that isn’t really relevant to the story.
I am sure that there are many who would disagree saying that they wanted more of the pseudoscience details to better understand the work being done but it just wasn’t for me. Just be aware that if you aren’t super interested in scientific minutiae you may find yourself skipping some chapters.
Again I loved this story I just stopped after like 7 books and only just now decided to give it another shot. I am not in anyway saying this is a bad series nor trying to dissuade anyone from buying it. Just giving a warning about something’s that surprised and annoyed me when they suddenly began to be common.

Jin Rou wanted to be a cultivator. A man powerful enough to defy the heavens. A master of martial arts. A lord of spiritual power. Unfortunately for him, he died, and now I’m stuck in his body. Arrogant Masters? Heavenly Tribulations? All that violence and bloodshed? Yeah, no thanks. I’m getting out of here. Farm life sounds pretty great. Tilling a field by hand is fun when you’ve got the strength of ten men—though maybe I shouldn’t have fed those Spirit Herbs to my pet rooster.

Historia
This is the story of Michael Talbot, his family, and his friends: a band of ordinary people trying to get by in extraordinary times. When disaster strikes, Mike, a self-proclaimed survivalist, does his best to ensure the safety and security of those he cares for. Book one of the Zombie Fallout Trilogy follows our lead character at his self-deprecating, sarcastic best. What he encounters along the way leads him down a long dark road, always skirting the edge of insanity.

Loved the first books dropped it later though
Revisado: 04-06-23
Alright let me start by saying I absolutely loved this series in the beginning. It had everything I wanted out of a zombie book, it didn’t go super heavy into gore nor was every person they meet, who isn’t in their group, some evil monster hell bent on destroying all that is good like I see in most zombie stories.
Though I wanted to leave this review as a heads up, the story takes a rather odd change in later books. Without spoilers I will simply say it was a rather large change and really put me off from the story.
That isn’t to say you shouldn’t read it, as I know for a fact many people like the direction it was going down it just wasn’t for me personally.

I’m loving this only one issue
Revisado: 04-03-23
I absolutely loved this story, the first couple chapters were rather slow but then it began to gain speed pretty rapidly.
I will start by saying it is well worth a single credit for the entire compendium of 40 + hours of listening. Even if the story wasn’t so entertaining and tough to put down that would be a rather good deal. Given the quality of the work it is an even better deal in my opinion.
That said I do have one minor annoyance that is keeping me from providing a full five star review. The MC states multiple times they know everything that is going on in their “territory”. They will then constantly “forget” to pay attention to that territory sense until the last minute where they suddenly have to prepare a last minute defense since they no longer have time to hide or prepare a well organized defense.
The MC will then comment how they need to pay attention to that sense going forward… only to then not pay attention to it again a few days later. Don’t get me wrong I totally understand not being able to maintain constant vigilance 24/7. I just find it annoying that given the sense is described as basically the same thing as a normal human looking at their surroundings it’s annoying how they just never check it.
It feels like kind of a cheap way to add in tension since otherwise the MC and their group would be able to be completely avoid most situations.

Revisado: 03-01-23
I was a bit weary when I saw several reviews saying the narrator was monotonous and boring.
As such I first listened to the free sample to see if those reviews were accurate or not.
I had no issues with the narrator for the sample so purchased the audiobook and so far I have found no issues with his tone so far.
All in all I will say I have been enjoying both the story and the narrator quite a bit so far. Given the full trilogy was 1 credit for 60 hours I think it was well worth purchasing.

Every fight involves 10 minutes of reading the entire skill list
Revisado: 01-31-23
I get this is a LITRPG but this is getting out of hand. Each fight we hear the skills of every member of the MCs party read out detailing all effects gained with each level.
This doesn’t sound like a big deal but you have to take into account how jarring it is. You have the group in a life or death struggle and it’s constantly breaking the flow of the story to read a detailed list of the skills we already know about and what each do.
I have started to just skip forward 30 seconds each time one of these random skill page interruptions come up. Often I have to do it 2 or 3 times as it reads the full skill details then adds the bronze addition then adds the silver addition.
Skills like “wind blade“ really don’t require a 2 minute break down mid fight to tell us what it does.
Honestly there is no reason to list out the full skill details every time it’s used. Just put the full skill list at the back of the book and any who can’t remember or want to see the new additions can check it out there.

It’s not easy making the career jump from office-supplies-store middle manager to heroic interdimensional adventurer. At least, Jason tries to be heroic, but it's hard to be good when all your powers are evil. He’ll face off against cannibals, cultists, wizards, monsters...and that’s just on the first day. He’s going to need courage, he’s going to need wit, and he’s going to need some magic powers of his own. But first, he’s going to need pants.

I couldn’t put this down
Revisado: 01-18-23
I don’t tend to give five star reviews on the first book in a series.
Normally I hold that off for truly incredible book series’s where the entire series is worth a five star in my opinion.
That said I truly adored this book. I blazed through it and even stayed up late at night listening to it.
The MC is someone who may put off some readers I admit. He had a tendency to get a smidge smug and preachy about his views on the aristocratic or excessively wealthy. I will point out, without spoilers, that it is mentioned to him as a flaw in this book and he does start to work on it a bit.
All in all I loved his method of seemingly causing chaos in order to make the world a more fair place, or at least what he considers more fair, and the phrase “maliciously intelligent” or something similar was used to describe the MC at one point and it had me cracking up as it is a very apt description

Drew has finally got it all together. First, there is his pocket dimension, a quickly growing area based around his good buddy, Tree. Then there are his students, six random kids he...liberated. Finally, there is the dragon stalking him. Cultivating, sailing, staying ahead of trouble. That’s his plan as he moves into the creation of his solid Core. Seducing a dragon was a total accident. Nuking an Island? Let’s not focus on the details. They started it. What’s the best thing to do while getting his magical career and development back on track? Play pirate, of course!

Revisado: 01-14-23
I really enjoyed this series but just be aware boo 5 is a major cliff hanger and no word on book 6 has been said in 2 years.
Not just no audiobook but no book at all nor is the author still updating their story on royal road as of 2 years ago.
All in all I enjoyed the series but I am rather annoyed now as I binged this entire series only to get a stupid cliff hanger and no real sign the series will ever be finished.

The first thing he does, of course, is to get all the dragons drunk and then kidnap them. Letting them simmer in a bootcamp of draconic design in order to teach the millenia old reptiles discipline and new tricks is sure to work. His students continue their duty of protecting their corners. They spend their time living as queens, being surrounded by a rather fuzzy harem, ruling with iron fists, or being loved by all.

Ends on a cliffhanger 2 years since any book released
Revisado: 01-14-23
Look I’ll stop you here, I stopped with an hour left in this book.
It was clear there wasn’t going to be any closure as it had just opened up this huge plot thread and split the group into super bad places (no spoilers). The dragon girl obviously needs to be rescued… again as she is almost as bad as princess peach at this point.
All that is annoying but it was when I looked into the next book I got annoyed. I had known there was no audiobook for book 6 what I hadn’t know was that there is no book 6 at all.
It’s been two years since the last book was written and there has been nothing. I enjoyed this series but I gotta say a 2 year gap is a really bad sign for the story. I think I will hold off on reading this series if I was you till the future of the story is more clear.
