I think the story is good, but it gets a little to crazy if the person can’t differentiate reality from imagination. Not my favorite. Didn’t like when rhetorical reader started wispering stuff either.

Sehr gute, lang ausholende Geschichte mit sehr traurigen Hintergründen. Der Leser war etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig für mich. Nicht unbedingt eine Stimme die ich für dieses Buch ausgewählt hätte. Gebe zu ich stand kurz davor es abzubrechen. Ging aber dann doch nach einer Weile.

Very good mystery crime book, great story

Before purchasing a book I usually read some of the reviews. This one had a bunch of reviews with people who were outraged about the violence and raping, which almost made me pass this book up.
However, I am glad I didn't and I can't say I agree with them. It might be that there were some changes made to this audio book version to cut out some of that, maybe not.
There is also an extra all the way at the end of the book giving another perspective. That is why the length is listed as 20hr. The book itself is really more like 18h and then there is an extra 2h tagged on. That was also worth listening to. Good and interesting way of doing this and reminding us about the violence agains women that happens every day.
Anyway, as I said - the way the book is in this audio version was very good and if you are into mystery, crime, murder and stories about missing people - I am pretty sure, you will enjoy this book. Great interesting story with good twists.

Very similar to “Rebecca” with a modern Twist

Very much liked this book. Although I know the original, this one keeps you reading. Turns out, there is interesting new plots that keep you listening and guessing. Worth listening to.

Great Book for young Readers - Educational Value

This was an interesting read. The story of the book takes place in the 60's, right after the wall was buiIt. I myself grew up in West Berlin in the 70's and 80's. I thought the author did a good job, putting a fictional story around true events. Having myself been to East Berlin during a later time of the wall, it was reminding me of how I felt and how some of my family felt during the time of German divide.
My son was reading this book for his 6th Grade and it brought up many questions and interesting conversations. Definitely would recommend this book for young readers, but also good for older ones.

Can't listen to this Reader - really annoying!

I only got through about 2 hours of this book and I can't take it anymore. It say's 11hours remaining which is odd, since the book is only 9h long supposedly. The story is confusing to listen to at first and then the story is so SLOW.... Worst part is the Reader. She is so annoying to listen to. I was hoping I could get used to it, but NO.
