Another Winner

When I picked "We are Legion (We are Bob)" as my next listen several years ago, I didn't know what I was getting into. But I am happy to have picked what turned out to be a great series of very well created stories. I hope there is more to come in the Bobiverse.

I'm glad I found the Chronicles of St Mary's series. Jodi Taylor has crafted an amazing world with witty characters and enough accurate history to keep this reader coming back for more. I hope there is more to come in this universe, now expanded with the time police series.

Added Depth to Caedelium

I usually only give star ratings on books but felt the need to actually write something after reading other reviews that complained about how slow the book moved and how they felt it was just fluff. While I will agree that this story is fluffy, I think it's a good addition to the whole story arc. It was a nice diversion from the constant struggles presented in the preceding books and added Depth to the lives of our protagonists on Caedelium.
Reviews are just opinions and everyone is entitled to theirs and priced that people can see/read the same thing and have different perceptions.
Looking forward to book 8!

McDermott is an excellent story teller and to anyone who's read his other works shouldn't find it surprising that this one involves ships and boats and ordinary people thrust into extraordinary events.
I liked the narration and accents and voices used to differentiate the different characters. while it's not a deal breaker, it is annoying sometimes when all the characters are voiced the same way

The book was better. I really like that Andy Weir is heavy on the science on his science fiction. I really enjoyed Project Hail Mary and this came up for free. I'm glad I read them both.
This was the first book I read with Wil Wheaton narrating. I really enjoyed his performance.

Science Fiction That's Heavy on the Science

Wow. If you like science fiction that is heavy on the science, you will not be disappointed in this novel. Mr. Weir adds enough science to the story to make the reader feel like everything in the story is all possible, that it could happen. The character development is outstanding as is the overall plot. I'm thinking of picking up his other novels just to learn some science as I read! Ray Porter is an awesome narrator who's never failed to bring a story to life for me as the reader/listener.
