Great book with some twists!
Revisado: 03-30-23
I have never heard of this author before but I'm glad I read the book. This book is both a murder mystery and a trial lawyer, as the main character. The reading is done well for each of the characters. I enjoyed the book and it kept my attention, while I tried to figure out who did the killings. Of course, I was wrong. I didn't care for the sex scenes, so I avoided them. Held my attention for days. I recommend this book to suspense, courtroom buffs, and those who like "who-done-its".

But his self-imposed isolation is interrupted when he receives a desperate call from his best friend, attorney Billy Manchester. There has been a recent string of suspicious deaths - all elderly women, all from a poor neighborhood, and all with sizable and recently sold-off insurance policies - which the police have been unable or unwilling to investigate.

Visible Darkness - Eddie
Revisado: 09-13-22
I almost didn't finish this book, I think the first few sentences or paragraphs were a turn-off. It had seem that the rest of the book would be like them. I had read a lot of the comments so I gave the book a chance. I was glad I did. Visible Darkness turned out to be a good story with a good ending. Finally, a book with an actual ending without a cliffhanger, or wishing that there was something more! Not even an option for a second book! I found this refreshing. A decent read and worth a shot. The book is about finding the killer. I'd say more, but it would give it a way of those killed. It's usually the person we would least expect. Anyhow, if you like who-dun-its read the book.

I enjoyed the storyline
Revisado: 12-13-21
I haven't read or listened to any of the other books in this series, but the author described past events smoothly into each scene. This book is about war being avoided between Russia and the U.S. The characters and their unique qualities are portrayed by the writers and the reader. I enjoyed the book and look forward to reading more of his books, as this is the first.

A decade ago, Emily Carlino vanished after her car broke down on a California highway. She was presumed to be one of serial killer Ronny Lee Jessup’s victims whose remains were never found. Writer David Thorne still hasn’t recovered from losing the love of his life, or from the guilt of not being there to save her. Then David meets Maddison Sutton, beguiling, playful, and keenly aware of all David has lost. My New Favorite Author
Revisado: 04-22-21
This was a great psychological thriller. I like mystery, who-done-it books. This book didn't disappoint to the development of characters, which are many, to the setting of the scenes. A psychic is matched minds with a serial killer, who purposely leaves clues for her. She misses some of the clues until it's too late. It read like a suspenseful movie. It held my attention clear to the end. I will be looking for more of "Wendy Corsi Staub" books. Up until now I had never heard of her, but so happy I have found this author's book.

This was book 4, in a series of 4. It held my attention and just as good as all the others. I can't wait to listen to all of Marcia Clark's books. If you enjoy courtroom drama, like John Grisham books, you'll like Marcia Clark's books.

Kept me interested
Revisado: 11-09-20
I enjoyed the story about a doctor setting up residency in a new town. She is learning the townspeople's names and ends up caught in WHO-DONE-IT mystery and almost gets killed herself. In the end, she begins a relationship with one of the town's doctors, who she considered a potential suspect, but ruled him out. The story kept me guessing who had killed Ellen. I was always wrong. I'd recommend this book for mystery lovers or those who enjoy a good story.

I Enjoyed Listening to Another Owen Parr book.
Revisado: 10-12-20
Another great mystery story by Owen Parr. He did a lot of background on all his characters and locations they traveled. Joey Mancuso is once again in a complicated storyline with his new investigative team., Harry, Larry, Angus, Marcy, Patrick, and his brother Father Dominic. People seem to die after they are talked to by one of the team members. A very enjoyable book. I listened to the whole book read by Fred Filbrich who does a great job for each character. I highly recommend all Owen Parr's books as I go to book number 4 in the Father Mancuso stories.

Another great book by Owen Parr
Revisado: 10-05-20
This is the third book in the Joey Mancuso and Father O'Brian series. I love mysteries and the process of finding out who did it. These mysteries didn't disappoint me. The author's descriptions of the characters are brief but are enough to show who the people are and what their role is. I like the way the author/s sets up the scene and the storylines. Everything flows smoothly and has a happy ending. This is the third book in the series that I've read and I can't wait to hear the next one. I'm not good at reviews but would recommend this book and the others in this series.
