Better to read it

I wanted to love this. I needed to love this. And couldn’t get past the narrators old school radio voice, over articulating and insincere enthusiasm. As a parent raising a child with ADHD, a short book is perfect. But need an authentic narrator for it. I am returning it.

Very relevant to topics like multiculturalism, success & perseverance

As a mixed race and growing up with a mixed cultural identity person, (Japanese and White/WASP), I couldn’t stop listening during the
Chapter on Korean pilots, their cultural communication style verses the NYC air traffic controllers. I understand perfectly, the culture of respect, and being taught to ignore your own needs, desires, thoughts and ideas. I thought many of my internal conflicts were due to having divorced parents. But it’s actually cultural. It was eye-opening to see this played out in life and death.

I wanted to like this. I want to learn what about what she’s researched, it’s important. but it’s like she wrote it and then didn’t edit it to trim the excess. Would prefer reading a research article on the topic.

An absolute must for anyone who is grieving

It’s 3am. I stayed up to finish this book. It’s part memoir with something holding your hand through Grief. It’s like… all the things you want your best friend to tell you when you’ve lost someone. Especially if it’s your best friend who died. I’m sure I will listen to it over and over. My husband died 8 weeks ago. Since read or listen to anything and everything on the afterlife, grief & healing. This book is amazing. If you are ready to start healing. I recommend his book on the stages of grief with Kobler-Ross first. I will be forever grateful for finding this book and David’s words. It’s helping me heal.

Thumbs up-on psychic development-not like the others

Different from all the others that basically just regurgitate the same generalities. This author gives exercises to hone skills rather than general overview. Will definitely be reading more from him & take the authors’ classes.

Helped me understand that how I was communicating with my husband was triggering. And that I could simply change my language by validating him. This was a huge aha for Me.

I LOVED His book DESTRESSIFY, so I expected to love this. But 15 minutes in, I couldn’t listen to his rambling. It sounded like no one had edited his book. So he just goes on and on... I’m sure there’s great info in here, but I couldn’t wade through the muck to get to the good stuff. Tight editing would have helped.
