Why did God find it necessary to have the Israelites destroy the populations of entire cities man, woman, and child? What relation does Jesus bear to the rest of the supernatural world? I don’t remember getting more thrills from an audiobook than this one. Oh! It was so wonderful. I can’t say I learned anything new as I’ve been enjoying feasts from THE WORD of GOD for over 50 years now. The way this exceptional author pieced the scriptures together though was exhilarating.
It confirmed a lot of what I know to be true. I just finished the book and I am high as a kite from GOD’s truth, goodness, and mercy to me. Dr Michael Heiser backed up everything he said with scripture after scripture. None of it was his opinion. That is why I must get the printed copy of this book as well.
There were so many, many notes I wanted to make and scriptures I wanted to jot down that it would be easier to get the book. I want to reread it and underline most of it. I don’t see how Dr Heiser could have done a better job writing it. I thank THE LORD for this great man. A zillion stars got this book. All the chapters were great and kept my interest but wow, the finish takes the cake. All glory to our magnificent Lord God Almighty.

Just what I needed to hear !
Revisado: 06-29-24
Within the first few minutes of this book, I felt like I finally found something that was meant for me. As a new entrepreneur in the massage industry and as a woman with a fitness background, I’ve been looking for ways to create a second stream of income that didn’t require me to put more stress on my body. I spent my life living in this poverty mindset, trying to convince myself that I didn’t want to have financial security. When this lady here spoke about feeling the same and the fact that we grew up in a very similar community in New York, really hit home. All I have to say is that I’m glad to have found this book and I’m ready to finally stop living in lack.

Having somehow convinced Lady Annika Jenoure to marry him, all Finlay Ashowan wants to do is settle down, cook some good meals, and enjoy a quiet life in Daxaria. But fate has different plans. Fin’s father, Aidan Helmer, fire witch and servant of King Matthias of Troivack, has arrived in the kingdom with devastating news: Annika’s brother Charles has been taken prisoner, and the only way his life will be spared is if Annika or Fin goes to plead his case. Given that an attack from Troivack is imminent, there’s no way some trickery isn’t involved in this plot.

Historia
As a wielder of domestic magic, Finlay Ashowan likes to keep his affairs as neat and orderly as his kitchen. But between his work for the King and Queen of Daxaria and a new (secret) relationship with Lady Annika Jenoure, his life is anything but tidy. For one thing, if Annika and Fin are to continue their romance, they’ll need to sort out the pesky issue of Fin’s being a commoner—before Annika is forced into a political marriage that interferes with her own carefully laid plans. For another, pressure is mounting as the war with Troivack draws ever closer.

Historia
Jonathan Haidt skillfully combines two genres-philosophical wisdom and scientific research-delighting the listener with surprising insights. He explains, for example, why we have such difficulty controlling ourselves and sticking to our plans; why no achievement brings lasting happiness, yet a few changes in your life can have profound effects, and why even confirmed atheists experience spiritual elevation.

The monotone and mechanical sound of the readers voice stopped me in my tracks. I honestly couldn’t get passed the first few minutes. It was distracting and hard for my mind to focus on what he was saying.

Historia
For years, rumors of the "Marsh Girl" have haunted Barkley Cove, a quiet town on the North Carolina coast. So in late 1969, when handsome Chase Andrews is found dead, the locals immediately suspect Kya Clark, the so-called Marsh Girl. But Kya is not what they say. Sensitive and intelligent, she has survived for years alone in the marsh that she calls home, finding friends in the gulls and lessons in the sand.

Historia
While plenty of entertaining books have been written about the history of alcohol and other intoxicants, none have offered a comprehensive, convincing answer to the basic question of why humans want to get high in the first place. Drunk elegantly cuts through the tangle of urban legends and anecdotal impressions that surround our notions of intoxication to provide the first rigorous, scientifically grounded explanation for our love of alcohol.

Eye opening and entertaining
Revisado: 01-13-23
Tom Parks was a perfect choice for this read. His tone kept me interested and eager to continue listening.
The book itself really opened my eyes up to the true use and benefits of a drink. As a 420 friendly gal myself and an occasional mushroom taker, I’ve enjoyed the benefits and openness gained by using these medicinals.
Thank you for a great addition to my collection.

What does God want? Sounds like a simple question, but if you give it a bit of thought, it’s really not. For starters, you have to know who’s asking the question. People will ask it for a lot of different reasons. Best-selling author Dr. Michael S. Heiser shows listeners that the answer is pretty simple. That might surprise you. There’s actually a long, remarkable story behind the answer - one that isn’t well known by most people interested in the question.

AMAZING GRACE HOW SWEET THE SOUND!
Revisado: 09-03-22
This foundational book on Christianity is simple yet profound. This message should NEVER change. This was my first book authored by Dr Michael Heiser. I am looking forward to starting another of his books later today.
His works are perfect for such a time as this in the year 2022. I highly recommend this book to all. Though I’ve been a Christian over 40 years it was a great reminder. I feel it is vital for all new believers to read first. This good news helps us to be more stable in our new faith rather than fluctuating according to our behavior.
Now I feel I’d like to add two scriptures here because I was remembering them throughout the book.
Galatians 1:8-9 NKJV ~ But even if we, or an Angel from Heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed. As we have said before, so now say I again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed.
The main thing is to keep the main thing, the main thing. In HIS WORD we can trust!
