Good story about adulthood

Liked it until author turned into an incel

I would have truest enjoyed this book except for one section. When they go into the all female college the author turns into a disgusting male pig. The villain in this section is an obrase woman who the author points out many flaws for but again and again makes her most vile trait her size. As if this giant fat joke isn’t bad enough he decides her attack it to accuse men of rape if they reject her. This is such an incredible toxic narrative, putting it in fiction just perpetuates the myth that these things happen. This is so harmful to actual rape victims. At one point the main character even questions why she would be the one he chooses to rape...yeah we have heard that from prominent people, saying they wouldn’t rape someone because they aren’t pretty enough which is not how that works at all. This part of the book made me angry and disgusted. If it hadn’t been a free book I would have requested a refund. I suggest the author take a long hard look at his humor and remove this toxic chapter from an otherwise fun book.

What does Hannah Norris and Piers Wehner bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

It great how the narrators change for the perspectives, a wonderful job in helping you to track the story. Both narrators also have a wonderful range of unique voices for both genders.

Any additional comments?

The author does a great job of creating a large diverse world. I am a fan of stories from many perspectives so this is right up my alley. It's also a long book which makes it a great deal!

What would have made Breeds, Book 1 better?

I couldn't even bare to listen to this book. I was excited for a werewolf novel that was about the struggle of man and beast in one without a love story attached, but there was no reason for this level of detailed violence. I didn't like the intense swearing but accepted that as defining the characters' personalities. But even if the author wanted the characters to be so horrible in the core, he didn't need to write so much detail in. It could have been done much more eloquently creating a book that could appeal to more than just sickos looking for a gawking thrill.

Has Breeds, Book 1 turned you off from other books in this genre?

I love warewolf stories but would never read this author again. This is a slasher story not a paranormal story.
