Historia
From the day that old Nana Reja found a baby abandoned under a bridge, the life of a small Mexican town forever changed. Disfigured and covered in a blanket of bees, little Simonopio is for some locals the stuff of superstition, a child kissed by the devil. But he is welcomed by landowners Francisco and Beatriz Morales, who adopt him and care for him. As he grows up, Simonopio becomes a cause for wonder to the Morales family, because when the uncannily gifted child closes his eyes, he can see what no one else can - visions of all that’s yet to come, both beautiful and dangerous.

uggg... overly descriptive and disjointed.
Revisado: 03-08-20
it started out much better than it continued. I really struggled to finish. a redundant storyline with a lot of emotional descriptions that were just too long and boring.

helpful reference book with a heart for the plant
Revisado: 02-04-20
an interesting mix of science: studies, dosage, delivery options, recommending to check with a professional health practitioner and also: how we should trust our subjective intuitive selves to figure out what's best for us. Cannabis has been used since 2000 BC, helps with many ailments. the cannabinoid system is part of the plant and ourselves.

Historia
When a small vial arrives in her mailbox from "Lewis Carroll", Ayelet Waldman is at a low point. Her mood storms have become intolerably severe; she has tried nearly every medication possible; her husband and children are suffering with her. So she opens the vial, places two drops on her tongue, and joins the ranks of an underground but increasingly vocal group of scientists and civilians successfully using therapeutic microdoses of LSD.

focus on alternatives to pharmeceuticals...

good for those on anti-depressants with less experience in other recreational drugs ...even pot. I found it overly personal ...don't care about her daughter's tattoos. yet it did describe...her short experience . I could have read 5 pages and learned enough

Historia
Most of us recognize that climate change is real, and yet we do nothing to stop it. What is this psychological mechanism that allows us to know something is true but act as if it is not? George Marshall's search for the answers brings him face to face with Nobel Prize-winning psychologists and the activists of the Texas Tea Party; the world's leading climate scientists and the people who denounce them; liberal environmentalists and conservative evangelicals.
