Historia
One small handwritten letter, sent from a dark, remote corner of the planet and lost in the system for 60 years, is about to change the entire human race. Outside Denver, Colorado, Joe Rickards stands over a small aircraft wreckage, studying burnt remains still smoldering in a field of freshly fallen snow. He's an investigator for the NTSB, working to carefully roll back the last several hours and identify the cause of the accident. But this time, he can't.

Historia
Whether she’s playing an “age-defying” book editor on television or dazzling audiences on the Broadway stage, Sutton Foster manages to make it all look easy. How? Crafting. From the moment she picked up a cross stitch needle to escape the bullying chorus girls in her early performing days, she was hooked. Cross stitching led to crocheting, crocheting led to collages, which led to drawing, and so much more. Channeling her emotions into her creations centered Sutton as she navigated the significant moments in her life and gave her tangible reminders of her experiences.

Historia
Amanda King and Tess Cuffe are strangers who share the same Georgian house, but their lives couldn't be more different. Amanda seems to have it all, absolute perfection. She projects all the accoutrements of a lady who lunches. Sadly, the reality is a soulless home, an unfaithful husband and a very lonely heart. By comparison, in the basement flat, unwanted tenant Tess has spent a lifetime hiding and shutting her heart to love. It takes a bossy doctor, a handsome gardener, a pushy teenager and an abandoned cat to show these two women that sometimes letting go is the first step to moving forward and new friendships can come from the most unlikely situations.

Especially enjoyed this storyline!
Revisado: 10-10-21
Recreating oneself is never easy, and self reflection can be daunting to anyone, but this story's strong and memorable leading ladies take the challenge to heart and persevere, even when necessary changes throw their lives into turmoil. The characters are well developed and the storyline takes some surprising turns to keep the reader interested. What will happen next? Bravery comes in many forms. Faith weaves a believable and entertaining story of two very different women who, when the layers are finally peeled back due to unexpected life events, emerge as kindred spirits. Totally enjoyed The Girl I Used to Know. Great easy read!

Historia
The 1950s are on the horizon, and Archer is in dire need of a fresh start after a nearly fatal detour in Poca City. So Archer hops on a bus and begins the long journey out west to California, where rumor has it there is money to be made if you’re hard-working, lucky, criminal - or all three. Along the way, Archer stops in Reno, where a stroke of fortune delivers him a wad of cash and an eye-popping blood-red 1939 Delahaye convertible - plus a companion for the final leg of the journey, an aspiring actress named Liberty Callahan who is planning to try her luck in Hollywood.

Captivating saga!
Revisado: 06-19-19
As an avid genealogist and insatiable history buff, I am constantly searching for stories that ring true, teach me valuable lessons about history, and can immerse me in a period of time that left its mark on all of us. Nelson transported me to Europe with his tale of the atrocities of war and the indomitable spirit of men and women who valiantly fought for their human rights. I absolutely LOVED The Girl from Berlin! On a scale of 1-10, it's definitely a 15 . . . or higher!

A summer at his grandparents' South Dakota ranch is not 11-year-old Cooper Sullivan's idea of a good time. But things are a bit more bearable now that he's discovered the neighbor girl, Lil Chance, and her homemade batting cage. Even horseback riding isn't as awful as Coop thought it would be. Each year, with Coop's annual summer visit, their friendship deepens from innocent games to stolen kisses, but there is one shared experience that will forever haunt them: the terrifying discovery of a hiker's body.
