Overly used metaphors detract from the story.

At first I thought maybe Larson had a ghost writer. The story had a different feel for the first hours. Later I thought maybe it’s a different editor? Maybe no editor? Not sure but the over use of and repeated use of very similar metaphors detracted from the story. Overall a good addition to the series but I think the editing was poorly executed.

Interesting plot all the way through

The ending plot twist was a total surprise. The characters were interesting. The story is solid. Well done all around. I have read/ to many Galaxy’s edge books but I don’t see or understand the link between this story and those. It doesn’t matter. This story is well done and I’m looking forward to the next. Oh there has to be a next….. right Solomon?

I liked it. The premise was interesting and some of the plot twists were unexpected. One of the characters annoyed me constantly. Some of the plot points would make for an interesting second book. Overall good job.

If you….. Audible….. are going to promote a YA book please put that information into to summary. I couldn’t finish the middle school sci fi. Not that it is a bad book I just prefer hard science fiction. All things considered it is a good book for your tween.

The other reviews are correct. 50 words are used when 10 would suffice. This entire book would be 5 chapters of a really good story. There is a good story in here somewhere, but it’s buried deep in a bunch of blah blah blah. I can’t recommend this one.

I like this book. Will it win awards probably not. But the characters were well done. The story was interesting and RC Bray is a goat. Worth the credit. 3rd in the series.

A first in a series always has a lot world building. The book is no different. The world is interesting enough that a would like to hear more. Did it push the genre forward….. probably not. But a decent book nonetheless. The narrator did a nice job.
