I'm self-studying for the NASM-CPT certification and nutrition was by far the hardest section for me to digest (pun intended). The chemistry was extremely difficult for me to understand by reading it myself online and this audiobook was the perfect supplement (help me). All of the information is in line with what the CPT course teaches and I retained so much more by listening to it. This book is a lecture, it is not entertaining - but very informative for someone new to nutrition and I appreciate it being available as it was exactly what I needed - thank you.

Easy, entertaining listen
Revisado: 09-14-17
I'm usually more of a non-fiction or lecture/podcast listener - "My Life as a White Trash Zombie" was a great change of pace for me. I finished the book pretty quickly as the story was easy to listen to and never dull. Narrators really make or break an audio book for me and Allison did an amazing job with creating a different voice for every character and animating the words.
I liked the first-person perspective from a zombie who doesn't quite realize what she is at first, instead of the usual flat braaaaains we are used to in television shows or other media. My only complaint with the story is the author used the phrases "a bark of laughter" and "a scowl on x's face" so often it started to annoy me. But overall, it was a very enjoyable and light read and made my commute/work day fly by.
