Historia
From comedian Quinta Brunson (creator and star of Abbott Elementary) comes a deeply personal and funny collection of essays about trying to make it when you're struggling, the importance of staying true to your roots, and how she's redefined humor online. In her debut essay collection, Quinta applies her trademark humor and heart to discuss what it was like to go from a girl who loved the World Wide Web to a girl whose face launched a thousand memes. This special Audible edition includes never-before-heard details about the making of Abbott Elementary.

Historia
After spending my entire life avoiding the creatures that murdered my parents, one stupid mistake binds me to them for four years. My penance? Become a human shadow at the infamous Evermore Academy, finishing school for the Seelie and Unseelie fae courts. All I want is to keep a low profile, but on day one, I make an enemy of the most powerful fae in the academy. The Winter Prince is arrogant, cruel, and apparently also my fae keeper. Meaning, I’m in for months of torture.

Fun read, that's all
Revisado: 05-23-24
It felt like someone put a bunch of famous YA/ New adult books into a cauldron and they melded together to give us Evermore Academy. There was no depth and tons of cliche tropes one after the other, but I gobbled it up lol.
It was a fun, easy listen while driving on an errand, taking a shower or folding laundry. The characters are likable enough and the story, while obvious in it's plot - with little imagination, was intriguing enough that I wanted to finish it. The narrator, Vanessa did a great job which probably help tons as well.
Overall, am I dying to read the next books? Not really. Will I? Eh maybe? If I can't find anything good and need something to occupy my time. There are some questions I still have, though I feel i've put most of the story together from book one.
Good, fun. senseless read, but if you're looking for substance, you won't find it here.

Historia
Exiled from the Shadow Fae, I'm left out on London's streets. The Knights of the Institute are dying of the plague, and they're sure I'm to blame. Desperate to speak to Ruadan, I invade the Institute. Then, things take a turn for the worse. Like, "tortured in a tiny prison cell" worse. Seems like Ruadan has completely betrayed me. But when I finally reunite with my dark demigod, it turns out I'd totally misunderstood his actions. Once I'm out of jail, Ruadan and I have to fix this mess, and we're thrown together once again. That means finding my father.

Did not disappoint
Revisado: 05-11-23
Great ending to a captivating series. I will miss this world. There was a bit of drag I will say with the level of side quests that started to pile up but overall really enjoyed this whole series.

Enjoyed this!

I was wary at first not going to lie, however I was more and more invested in the story as it went on - this was a delicious read with a good balance of steam and story.
Performance: Great job with all the characters voices and j love that Orion sounded masculine and I could tell the characters apart.
Excited to read the next one!

Engaging

Finished this book in about 2 days.
Story: I enjoyed the way this was written, I like that the “predictable” parts where literally called out by the main character and yet the book still wasn’t predictable. I’m interested enough to get book two but I will say I’m not IN LOVE with any of the characters. I feel like I didn’t really get to know anyone and it may be on purpose to allow more surprises?? I hope we get a bit deeper on the character development in book 2
Reading Performance: Enjoyable

Historia
After a lifetime of being bullied, Daelyn is broken beyond repair. She has tried to kill herself before, and is determined to get it right this time. Though her parents think they can protect her, she finds a Web site for "completers" that seems made just for her. She blogs on its forums, purging her harrowing history. At her private Catholic school, the only person who interacts with her is a boy named Santana. No matter how poorly she treats him, he just won’t leave her alone. And it's too late for Daelyn to be letting people into her life...isn’t it?

Raw, unnerving and funny
Revisado: 07-05-18
If you’ve even dealt with bullying or sexual assault, if you’ve ever been fat, teased, taunted or insulted this book will make you hurt. It will rip open old wounds and make you ant to scream. If you have children, it will make you want to grab them, wrap them in bubble wrap and lock them indoors. I think parent and young children alike should read this, parents so they’re not so oblivious and children so they understand to speak up, defend themselves and that it doesn’t last forever and that school is the lease important part of your life socially. And that it does get better. The needing however might piss some people off. It an unresolved cliff hanger. Not my favorite type of book.
