Different but very engaging

I have listened to all the novels by Tim Tigner, and I was very eagerly looking forward the release of "The Greater Good". It was immediately very captivating, engaging, and hard to put down. If I would have had the time, I would have listened to it in one single session.

This book is somewhat different from most other Tim Tigner novels. However, this should not be understood in a negative way! I still uphold that, if you enjoyed other Tim Tigner books, you will like this one as well. Nevertheless, this story does not follow the typical "Knight in shining armord fights for a noble cause and eventually wins, despite the numerous seeminlgy insurmountable obstables along the way." Instead, the protagonist is a much more regular/average person, and the story revolves significantly around moral conundrums akin to the trolley problem.

Last but not least, about 30-40 minutes before the end of the book, I had serious fears that not all my open questions and loose ends in the plot would be resolved, as I could not see how to do this in so little time. However, I was wrong, and all my questions were resolved, leading to a satisfactory ending of the book.

The performance by Helen Laser is also great. I really enjoyed how she brought the characters to life.

True to its title

Another typical Tim Tigner thriller. If you enjoyed any of Tim's other books, you will also enjoy this one. Lots of unexpected twists. If you have read his autobiographical book "What new hell next", you will definitely recognize where he took inspiration from his own real life.

Gut-wrenching

This book is, by far (!!), the most emotion-provoking and gut-wrenching thing I have ever read. Especially for people who have children of their own, having to hear what the poor author and his family had to go through is heartbreaking. I could never have stayed so calm and measured in such situations. Life sometimes writes more intense stories as even one of the best thriller writer can come up with.

Don’t expect a usual Tim Tigner style book. But do expect the same amount of turns and twists, and the same way of being pulled along, being unable to put the book down.

Something different

After having gone through all the Tim Tigner thrillers available on Audible, I turned to this book. As it says it its introduction: This is NOT a typical Tim Tigner style thriller. This is something completely different. So if you are looking for a thriller, go check out all the other books by Tim Tigner.

This one, however, is more philosophical and thought-provoking. The closes thing this reminded me of is „The Egg“ by Andy Weir It‘s hard to see at first where it is aiming, but I have to say, I quite liked to outcome.

Captivating

While going along with the protagonist‘s journey around half the world, one can only wonder how much more he will have to endure before coming to the bottom of the conspiracy he is trying to uncover.

If you enjoyed an other Tim Tigner book, I am sure you will love this one too!

Multiple Plot Lines

This thriller combines may sub-plot lines into one stringent conspiracy. Can‘t say much more without spoiling, unfortunately. I liked it a lot and if you already liked any other Tim Tigner book, you will too!

Another hard-to-predict conspiracy

Like most of the time, it‘s hard to describe Tim Tigner books without spoiling too much of the plot. So let‘s just say this is another one with a very interesting and hard-to-predict conspiracy. The reader is left in the dark about the details until almost the very end of the book and needs to figure it out together with the protagonists.

If you enjoyed any other Tim Tigner book, you should definitely try this one too!

True to its title, in more ways than one

This was not the first Tim Tigner book I listened to, so I thought I knew what to expect; especially when the story started out with a (not quite real) technical gadget. But boy, was I surprised. The plot took several completely unanticipated turns and ended up somewhere completely different than I would ave thought. I mean that in the most positive way though! Very exciting, great suspense.

If you liked any other book by Tim Tigner, definitely give this one a go too.

Innovative and captivating thriller

Once again the protagonist is being framed for a crime he did not commit and must now safe the world from the bad guy on his own, while avoiding being caught by law-enforcement. As always Tim Tigner manages to surprise the reader with twists nobody would have expected and he is able to keep the suspense up until the very last part of the book.

If you liked any other book from Tim Tigner, definitely give this one a go too!

Unpredictable

Like most Tim Tigner books, the twists and turns the plot takes are completely unpredictable and always catch the reader by surprise. I would say this might be the best book in the Kyle Achilles series, but they are all so good that it would be unfair to the others. In any case, I enjoyed this one very much.

If you liked any other book by Tim Tigner, definitely give this one a go too!
