TOO SHORT!

Enjoyed the story as it continues from book 1 but it also felt too short as if it is an on purposeful cliffhanger. I don't like it when the author and or publisher does this as if seems like a money grab from the reader.
On the other hand the layers of the Neighbors history with Earth are very lightly being revealed and it is not pretty. There are a lot of politics going on here and I think there are other parties involved as there are subplots that are touched upon and have not been resolved.
The narrator is doing an excellent job with both the Neighbor and human voices. In fact the narrator is chilling when describing the interactions between Noelle and her superiors.

Interesting World Building

Enjoyed what was a first contact story. Lots of reviewers didn't like the narrator. I thought the narrator did an excellent job, especially when voicing August. It takes at least 5 to 10 minutes to adjust to a reader/narrator you have never listened to before. Looking forward to the next book.

Just sit back and enjoy. Yes it is silly in places and some of the characters need development but it was fun, a bank heist, a con job, an underdog story. It made me smile. What more do you want?

Tanya Eby is not the best reader for this story. At times all the characters sound the same.
While I luv the Tinker series I wish I didn't have to wait 6 years between books.
Overall this is a fun and unique series.
