Historia
Pete is a simple man who enjoys a good drink amongst good friends. Not too much to ask, right? Now, he's trapped in a fantasy world far from home, stuck underground and inside the body of a smelly dwarf with fantastic facial hair. The worst part? The swill that the dwarves are falling all over themselves to drink. It's flat, it's watery, and it has the alcohol content of a rancid coconut. Can Pete save the dwarves from their own sour fate, or will he be forever doomed to plink his pickaxe away in hopes that he hits the motherlode?

Every schoolchild learns about the mutually beneficial dance of honeybees and flowers: The bee collects nectar and pollen to make honey and, in the process, spreads the flowers' genes far and wide. In The Botany of Desire, Michael Pollan ingeniously demonstrates how people and domesticated plants have formed a similarly reciprocal relationship.

an outdated classic
Revisado: 01-18-19
So I had turn this book off, while it is well written and understandably of its time, i cannot sit back and listen to the blatant racism and sexism at every turn. i understand this is probably how people talked in the time but its not okay in 2019. i put up with the belittling comments toward women and black people for far longer than i should, but between when Rhett forces himself on Scarlett and it starts saying however she needed to be taken down a peg, and the outright glorification of the KKK, I can no longer even listen. i am so bummed I loved the movie as a kid, i now realize i should have watched it again threw adult eyes before i invested in the book.
